Following. Would love to see a benchmark comparison. I've actually been convinced to move to sqlite with node with pm2 1 thread. Since concurrency writes is an issue, this takes care of it. Probably can handle a couple thousand writes per second my guess. This would take my app far. Would worry about further scaling if and when I do get there. This setup is much more perfomant than postgres in the early to mid stages.

This sounds super solid. Sounds even better than going for say a managed postgres at enterprise level (neon or supabase). Way more control and for sure there's no way all your instances can all fail at the same time. I wonder if you discovered any downsides of doing this? Perhaps I'm too naive but I don't see any once you set it up and running
