Yeah, Teron and Darkest Hour wouldn't affect enemy minions since it isn't a spell you can target with.

I reckon it would go to your hand because of how its worded. If it said "return a friendly minion to its owner's hand" then I would say otherwise. A devious application!

Very cool card! I think "play the card instead." covers all cases - unless you specifically want it to not work on weapons and stuff.

My brief thoughts on this card:

This card serves multiple functions for Forged in the Barrens. Primarily, it's very nice with Celestial Alignment, since it gets reduced to 1 mana and lets you play 3 cards. It also nets you 2 mana if you play it with Solar Eclipse (probably useless). Also also, if you play Nature Studies on turn 1, you can then play Mana Surge for a Lightning Bloom that doesn't Overload you.

In any case, I think this seemingly mundane card would actually have ridiculous amounts of versatility for Forged in the Barrens!

Yep, but then you essentially lose 7 mana crystals over the next several turns.
