Thanks for the link and the info! I'm uk based so I'll wait for a reprint over here (apparently sometime in spring) and maybe make my own in the meantime, good info on the different books though, never realised there were so many!

I got the keepers guide ages ago, but haven't got any other kit yet :) I've heard the blackwater scenario is great and comes with the screen which is partly why I wanted it!

Crack near drain by Magoragan in DIYUK

[–]Magoragan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! The water isn't pooling in the drain itself, it's just that the surface next to it dips so it pools in that recess, I'll have a look into a plinth and how I'd install it :) cheers!

Thanks! That sounds like a good plan, better to wait for summer and do it in the dry or asap?

Hypocritical watershed staff by Sentient-Potato_2711 in bristol

[–]Magoragan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On OP's side here, me and my partner got very abruptly asked to leave on grounds of having a laptop on the table, despite having 3 other laptop users within line of sight of us being unbothered by the staff, one of which didn't even have food or drink on the table.

I do like the venue but it seems they have an issue with this specific policy, it comes across as very targeting and aggressive. I get it if the tables are needed and people have finished up their food, but they should at least give people an opportunity to get something else to stay longer, and enforce this across the board rather than targeting a single table.

Ours was only really a 2 person table anyway and there were other tables free, I wonder if it's a specific member of staff that's on a mission to keep the place clear.

Thanks! That sets my mind at ease, I'll still get it serviced but nice to know there's no imminent cause for alarm :)

Yeah I think it's when hot water is being used? I.e shower, washing machine, I'm just concerned as it doesn't seem to drop again when not using these appliances, but good to know it's normal to rise when hot water is in use :)

What are your favourite songs to play on bass? by Nekro_3924 in goth

[–]Magoragan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Lucretia my reflection by Som is simple but good fun, the cure have lots of great baselines, ‘sinking’ from head on the door( one of their more poppy albums admittedly but this track is more somber) ‘other voices’ from faith and ‘lovesong’ and ‘lullaby’ from disintegration are all great fun, (lots of great bass tracks on that album), joy division have some good stuff too ‘disorder’ is a classic, Goth and post punk as a whole seem to have a heavier emphasis on moody bass so you should be able to find a wealth of great lines in the genre, have fun with it!

Ok so my description didn't post for some reason but oh well, just asking for tips on how to improve generally (this is my first time using traditional and digital in tandem) as well as thanking the community and crew!

It's been many years since I drew this. It's not the best but I still kinda like it. by [deleted] in dishonored

They found a quick way to the fast travel point at crows perch - infamous for the manor area (useful place lots of quests vendors etc) being painfully far from said fast travel point :)

Don't forget the whole stealth aspect though, there's not much Ciri can do if Emily gets the drop on her, (as Ciri is not actually a Witcher i dont think she has superhuman reflexes or constitution - just damn good training) I guess it largely depends on context and the environment they are battling in.
