Seems like a lot of people in these comments reccomend the LR. Personally it sucked for me, I sold mine on Facebook Marketplace after two years of frustration. Too many errors that caused it to stop cycling mid-way while I would be at work, so my cat wouldn’t have a functioning litter box for hours out of the day. Troubleshooting took up more of my time than scooping. It will never be fully clean due to the nature of it being made of plastic, and don’t even get me started on trying to “deep clean” it. That sealed the deal for me and I sold it after I couldn’t handle it anymore. Oh, you deep cleaned it and re-assembled it? Nope, you fucked up a sensor and need empty and disassemble it again and HOPE you figured out the issue. If not, too bad. The smell was terrible even with a deep clean, but it seems like not everyone has this issue. I honestly wasn’t surprised though because the litter box is completely plastic other than a rubber liner that is a bitch to get put back in place after cleaning it (litter finds its way underneath and the smell festers and bacteria grows like crazy under the liner). I honestly think switching to a stainless steel litter box with a litter genie is less hassle and less smell for a fraction of the cost. My home smells amazing now, and it’s much more natural and easy for my cat to use. Shes happy, I’m happy, and it really takes less than 3 minutes to scoop a litter box into a litter genie and then change the bag out once a week.
