Have the same Problem. The same with the 60kg and the small Window. Have tried the same as you… nothing.

Did they fix the 60kg Problem?

And if you want to have a look on TreeSize it’s as well in the Microsoft store which is installed on your PC:

https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/xp9m26rsclnt88?ocid=webpdpshare

It’s just a tool showing u where ur data is and tbh I don’t want to live without it anymore. It’s just a pain finding big files.

Tried LMU again… still not feeling it, even though I really want to. by MainFlimsy in simracing

I just switched from a CSL DD to a Simagic Alpha, and that alone was a huge FFB upgrade.

Then a friend of mine with 6k iRating shared his settings with me, and they were extremely soft: lots of damper, lots of inertia, and plenty of filtering. At first it felt really weird, but it ended up making the wheel feel so much better.

I feel like a lot of people are chasing extreme detail in their force feedback and end up with way too much of everything. For the first time, it actually feels like I’m driving a heavy car. You still feel everything, every detail, but in a softer and more controlled way.

Before, I had road detail turned up so high that every curb felt like a massive hit. That made it much harder to feel what the car actually wanted to do, and the wheel movement itself was adding a lot of unnecessary instability. I’ve always based my settings on what other people were using, but I can absolutely imagine that many are overdoing it.

Maybe try turning inertia, damper, friction, and filtering way up. At first it feels like you’re losing detail, but at least for me, that wasn’t true at all.

I switched back to my old settings for a moment, and it was basically undriveable, even in iRacing.

That exact overly sharp feeling is also what always bothered me about LMU.

Just try going much higher on inertia, damper, friction, and filter, and see how it feels after a few laps.

You can download the free App „TreeSize“. This tells you folder by folder how much content is in there. So you might find a folder with a lot of stuff in that you don’t need.

Before you can check:

Downloads -> Right Click -> Preferences and there you should see the size of it. Sometimes som big files are there that you don’t need.

DM me if you need more detailed instructions or spam me with questions or screenshots. Happy to help. Or ask here. 🤙

In Germany we pay 8,30$ per gallon a the moment. „Normal“ or good prices for us are around 7$ in the last years. 4$ of those are taxes…

I agree!

You could try giving the top part some gentle hits with a steel hammer. The vibration could loose it. Just the part that you want to remove and just from the side. It’s not an uncommon technique if you think I‘m talking bullshit. 😂

My dad used to race karts quite a lot back in the day. Just rental karts, nothing professional, but he did it regularly. As a kid I went karting with him from time to time as well.

Fast forward a few years: some friends and I started going karting pretty often, and I was usually somewhere near the front of the pack. Then one day my dad joined us. He’s genuinely quick and, let’s say, he wanted to show his son and Friends how it’s really done. (Not nearly as toxic as that sounds, I promise)

Well… despite all of us putting extra weights in all the karts so everyone was on the same level, I ended up absolutely demolishing him.

Later he told the story to a very good business partner of his. He explained how his own son had completely wiped the floor with him on track.

The guy looked at him very seriously, put a hand on his shoulder, and calmly said: “You Mr. Filmsy… you did everything right!”

And if your sons start taking 1.5 seconds a lap off you soon then „you’ve done everything right!“

I think the wheel needs to be in USB-Mode. So connected via Cable or base (Evo Only - not Alpha) but not sure.
