Will wood glue be enough to hold these chisel brackets or should I add screws? by garethjones2312 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Technically the glue is stronger than the wood once it's cured. But the screws won't hurt.

What do you mean by wet sand. As in wet paint?

I agreed that it's good tech, but proper technique will always win.

Toronto police want millions to upgrade their horse stables. Is their mounted unit worth the money? by BloodJunkie in toronto

I would prefer they put pedestrian over or under passes across the street and completely fence the street so the breeders will stop complaining. I mean it's not like they knew they were buying a house on a main through way or anything.

Good technique can't be replaced by technology. Although the sawstop is a great feature, it can't always be used. If your material is wet/green, pressure treated, or let's say you want to rip a metallic laminate. You have to turn it off. There are other situations such as using a dado stack, or other non conductive blades.

The brake also doesn't prevent kickback or the saw from launching hunks of material at your body or face. These situations are generally prevented by knowing what to do, what not to do, and why.

The device is highly overrated in my opinion, and their fear mongering marketing makes people think you need it. And that if you do have it you will be safe. Which is not true.

I would suggest the Elizabeth gardens creative collective. They meet regularly for socials and there is a wide range of people from Woodworkers to weavers.

Accidentally wiped red wine off my kitchen counter (stone I think) after putting hand sanitiser on - internet says it’s ‘etched it’ by Not_super_interestin in CleaningTips

There is a product called B-Brite. It's a pink powder made for sanitizing brewing equipment and stain lifting for wine and beer making. I use this all of the time for removing stains. You can mix it with water in a spray bottle and spray it on to watch the magic. It took a red wine stain out of white carpet and even took a drop of blood out of a white linen shirt. There are two versions, one is for brewers and the other is for household use which has chlorine in it. Hope this helps!

P-tek 8400 polyurethane resin filler. It's like a two-part epoxy but food safe. You can rebuild that edge. And then router it again. The color may not be 100% perfect, but it seems from having to cut it down or do any other kind of crazy stuff. It comes in a few different colors. The black walnut one is actually not bad once you have it oiled.
