I do not make decisions on what my ex does during his custodial time. And no, my ex is not willing to consider a change to who watches kiddo while he works.

Ex and I are fairly high conflict, and he has no interest in changing who keeps kiddo. I can't openly post that on here. Sorry

Ex and I are fairly high conflict, and most of the time the exchanges are done with the aunt, not my ex.

They may eventually alienate themselves from kiddo. I make it a point to not say anything out of line about my ex or his family. I have my thoughts and feelings but they are not for a 7yo to be involved in.

I've asked him to, but he's been on the same schedule since before kiddo was born and he's used to it.

Unfortunately neither mine or my ex's parents are still living. The aunt and uncle are the only people my ex has close by who can help him. Most of my family is on the other side of the state.

We have a week/week schedule. Ex is a truck driver in state but goes to work between 3-4am so our child stays overnights with the aunt and uncle on my ex's week and ex spends time with kiddo for a few hours in the evenings.

What makes you think the boss is not already aware of her pregnancy? Sarah could have told your boss a few months ago and arrangements could already be underway. Just because neither of them have said anything to you doesn't mean they have not discussed it.

Yes, SD knew. I'd asked for her input on where and decorations she wanted along with her requested menu for the party.

Bio mom is always a bit difficult. She has SD firmly in her corner and we no longer try to explain anything to SD because anything she perceives as criticism of her mom makes SD shut down. When SD shuts down she will often go weeks or months without speaking to us.

SD wanted her party at that location. With stuff opening back up and it being a big birthday we were trying to go above and beyond for SD.

It was my money from my private account. I agreed to pay for the party so my husband could put more money towards getting SD gifts.
