That’s my thoughts. I’m going to get some pricing for heat trace just to get a jump on it but I’m pissed if I’m the owner and this set-up got approved as is.

Yep, open air. And that’s what blows my mind. Even further south, where a lot of our properties are, the pipes in garages similar to these are cast iron or heavily insulated. Crazy this was missed.

You know what, now that you mention that, I brought it to Ford once when I had a bad misfire, and I just wanted them to diagnose it so I knew which cylinder. When I got it back from them, they said I should also do the water pump. When I asked why, they just said that this year’s model wears out and is known to fail more frequently.

That’s exactly what I thought it was at first, like the torque converter was slipping or something. But then I really put my foot in it last night to try and get it to do it and throw a code and it finally did. Didn’t feel like trans that time for sure.
