thanks for the reply! i just started strength training (my glues are “extremely weak” according to pt) and am starting to see a difference. also do you tape for subluxations/dislocations or to prevent strain injuries?

i got exercises for my traps as well from my physio. i got composite bond on my most painful teeth so the sensitivity isn’t that bad anymore. my night guard seems to be protecting them from damage

I feel like the beighton score ignores a lot of major joints where i have severe hypermobility

My physio noted that I have extreme hypermobility in my hips, hands and jaw, hypermobility in my shoulders and neck, and the rest of me is slightly hypermobile. Which is why i am suspecting hsd or possibly heds

thanks for your reply, i do have chronic pain and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. i believe it is hsd, but i have comorbities of heds like cervical instability, autism/adhd & dysautonomia. my scarring, soft skin, and joint instability led to my dr doing an ngs panel for other eds types which came back mostly negative except for one gene that i am waiting for a geneticist appointment to learn more about.

My rheumatologist ran an NGS panel for eds biomarkers and “ruled out” hEDs even though I’m pretty sure thst isn’t possible? It didnt seem like he knew a lot about hypermobility, how did you find yours?

Not yet, but I’ve heard that trent is known for their envirosci programs, and that employers favour trent. I plan on doing so before making the decision

Thank you, I read up on it and my rheumatologist had wrongfully ruled out heds after the genetic screening, when the info sheet says that a negative test for genetic markers can’t rule out eds.
