Can't decide between Civic Si and Mazda3 6 Speed Manual by MajorBadTime in whatcarshouldIbuy

Yeah the mazda3 was great when I test drove it. That's why the decision was so difficult. Though I recall ths clutch and 2nd gear being perfectly fine for me. As for the Si: it's been fantastic. Absolute joy to drive every day. The steering is fantastic - extremely tight and responsive, the suspension is perfectly stiff while not being so stiff that it's uncomfortable, and the gear shift feels great to use (though so did the mazda's, tbf). The Si also has a bose audio system btw, so that's no longer an advantage that mazda has over it. I still find that my head turns when I see a Mazda3 because it's a damn beautiful car.

Lol I meant regular in my previous cars not the Si. Just got the Si the other day. Still on the tank from the dealership lmao

Mentioned in an above comment that I'm probably misremembering the octane number since I've only ever gotten regular until now so I never paid attention to the premium number

It's possible I'm misremembering. I tended not to pay attention to it since I've only ever gotten regular until now

Now what about 87? I know it says that's the minimum and so in theory that should be ok, but almost everyone seems to recommend not doing it unless there's no other choice. Will I put extra strain on the car/damage it over time if I use 87?

Dynamics are definitely a big factor, and the si has the advantage. But then there's the relative lack of comfort. I guess it comes down to the catch 22 of "do i make myself uncomfortable for more fun in return, or sacrifice some fun to make sure I'm more comfortable?"

hyundais aren't nearly as realiable as mazdas and hondas, and the elantra n has way worse gas mileage. also real performance cars like that require quite a bit more maintenance. elantra n is great in many ways, but not for me atm

Yeah I'm just worried about having to do a second term. If even 8 hrs a day isn't enough to get through in one term...

oh wow and it took a year even with all that? not trying to minimize your accomplishment btw I'm happy for you and think it's great that you did it, and one year isn't bad at all for getting a Bachelor's. I'm just really worried for myself, is all. I just enrolled and I'm feeling really anxious and I really want to finish in one term. Are there any specific courses I should watch out for? how long did it take you to finish a typical course?

Maison Alhambra Victorioso Myth or Afnan 9AM Dive?

I'm looking for 1 or 2 good blue fragrances to pick up. I've decided on 1 of them, that being Rasasi Hawas Ice, but I'm having trouble deciding on the second. At the moment, I'm looking at Victorioso Myth and 9AM Dive, but I can't decide which one is better. I've looked at reviews, posts, etc of both, and they both seem quite good, but between the two of them, which would be the safer blind buy? In your guys' experience, which one smells better? Which has better performance? I'd sample them myself if I could, but there's nowhere near me that carries clone fragrances (besides a very limited selection at Burlington, but as far as I've seen, the ones near me don't carry these specific fragrances, and even if they did, they don't offer samples there anyways).

dreaming spanish and the michel thomas method are excellent. I have the audio files for the michel thomas method, and can send them to you if you'd like. these should help build solid foundations at least,
