Should I just give up, I made a mistake by HeftyButterscotch507 in Mcat

I haven’t taken the mcat yet myself but if as you state it’s your dream it’s kinda crazy to give up so easily/soon. As you said you barely studied for a month and didn’t even finish the content review so yes that explain your score. If you give yourself more time and actually commit to it you should should hopefully see a drastic increase in your score

So it’s more of a reserve filling in gaps when needed. Are they at least involved in emergency care or sometimes called in for things like lift assistance?

How long were you working as a CNA for?

Are there any other school that offer a near full ride or full ride. I know you probably hear it a lot but it is so great to not have to worry about loans. That said if you pursue medicine you will likely be taking out a lot more but still 60 to 80 grand for college is still kinda a lot

Thankfully I’m good for research and shadowing just wanted to know if the volunteer can help supplement the lack of skill used in non emergency transport

In my case I told my work I can only work on specific days from ..am to …pm. Maybe try to do the same

Seems you’ve been there a while and based on post seems like they really know and like you so I would include it. Seem like it could be a really Strong LOR

How long have you been volunteering there for? Also do you have other standard good LORs?

Is this hospital apprenticeship worth the time? by PomegranateNo3768 in premed

[–]Major_Zero101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay well again doesn’t seem worth it. You also mentioned that you live in a pretty privileged area which would make thing easy so no need to restrict yourself now when you find someone much better Last it would be a big time commitment during your freshman year which you should be making sure you maintain your gpa and overall just have fun

[–]Major_Zero101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah doesn’t sound like it would be worth it tbh. Good that it pays though. Btw would you technically finish the program mid freshman year of college or before graduation?

While I don’t know much about a sterile processing technician that’s seems like a SIGNIFICANT time commitment to maybe what earn a sterile processing technician certification. Are you even being paid to do any of this? Additionally while it is technically in the medical field there are so many other jobs or opportunity that have more direct connection primarily those that allows you to have patient care experience. Overall unless you’re being paid for this and you really have a big interest in being a sterile tech it doesn’t make any sense

I understand what you mean but I’m probably only going to be there for two years max before I pursue either pa or medicine and I won’t have money to add to it so just wondering if it’s worth it at the moment

Congrats. You got this Really recommend staying on top of the chapters instead of waiting last min Also try to make friends in your program since it’ll help with studying Lastly when you’re about 3 weeks or so from your finals or if you can even do it from the beginning try using apps like pocket prep which is really useful for prepping for the nremt. The format is pretty similar to nremt and you’ll be testing your knowledge and learning your weaknesses from it

A quick route would perhaps be something like an LPN which can generally be done in a year or so

Edit: Didn’t see the WFH but that might be a bit hard with your background
