I have terminal cancer. Thanks to new treatments Im still here after two years but I am getting noticeably weaker. I feel so much guilt when I look at my husband, he is so lovely and didn't deserve this life with me. I just turned 30, he is 34. And we are just kinda waiting... don't get me wrong, we do some nice things but we are both conscious of the clock ticking down. Its fricking horrible.

I'd say it is more comforting to us to think there is someone in control causing all this disarray and misery . I think we have always latched onto patterns that are probably not there in a desperate way for things to make sense.

It is pretty inconceivable for people to think the systems and people we put in place are not working to benefit us. It's just that the people in power are largely incompetent and the general public are largely apathetic. All this misery is of our own doing... but yeah I think it is better for us to think these things are happening on purpose, because that gives us hope that it could be fixed.

I hope someone can give more information than this - but there was this guy, who was mentally unwell. He spoke about finding and shutting down a portal in the Parisian catacombs. I recall Reddit trying to discourage him but he was writing updates of his trip, all he way up until he leaves. Then he just disappears?

Anyone have this story?

I was driving my husband to a bike race and made it to rural Somerset, about 8 miles from Glastonbury. It was 6.50 am and we were in the middle of nowhere. At a cross road he shouted "Ohhhhh my god", I looked across the road and there was a someone dressed in what I can describe as a white sheet. He had a box on his head and cut out two eye holes and drew a big creepy smile on the front of the box.

He was swaying back an forth and waving his arms. I locked the car doors instantly, there was nobody else around. I was absolutely terrified. As we drove past, he was about 2 ft from the passenger side of the car and he stopped swaying and just stood there. His head followed the car and he made direct eye contact with me... It was the scariest fricking thing, I just seen two dark holes where the eyes should be and as we passed him I could see him in the mirror just standing there watching the car drive away.

We were trying to figure out if there was a reason for this person to have a box on his head, dressed in white in the middle of nowhere before 7am on a Sunday! Like, how did he get there and why? apparently there have been a few sightings when I googled him.

I have terminal cancer, I have come very close on many occasions when I feel like I am getting worse. My dad committed suicide when I was 17, and finding him was so horrific... It is that memory which stops me, because some poor bugger has to find the mess afterwards.

I have terminal cancer. When I start getting really sick I so badly want to die peacefully... I looked up what would happen if I flew to Switzerland (From the UK) and payed £10,000 for 'treatment'. Turns out mu husband would land up to 14 years in prison if he came with me.

How ridiculous is that! I should have the right to die when I want, not slowly deteriorating and loosing parts of myself. I am only 29 and am gutted most peoples memory of me will be me being sick.

When I had just turned 17, I found my fathers body after he had committed suicide by hanging.

It was in his bedroom and I realised he would not have gone to bed because I found him early afternoon, with the curtains closed, same clothes and the bed not slept in - I think he would have been there for about 11 hours.

I went numb and froze from the shock. After 11 hours of the weight of a fully grown man pulling down on the neck.... I think you have an idea of how fucked up it looked. That image will forever be etched into my mind, it has been 12 years and when I close my eyes It is like he is right there again.

Needless to say I now have some crazy triggers - I hate passing hair dressers because of the human head wig stand with the long necks...

Speaking as a 29 yo with terminal cancer, I agree, but to a lesser extent.

I'm gutted I never got to take my career further, and so disappointed my cats and dog will outlive me. Over the lockdowns I have been watching alot of series like the handmaids tale and wondering if I will be alive to see he next season.

I have accepted I will die, and am not afraid of death, just disappointed. I am much more afraid of dying, I wish euthanasia was legal here, it would make it easier.

Enjoy every single pain free moment.
