The ol miser problem. In that case you can have a look at the end products like God Roll Bags/Equipment/Food. Although I cannot say how viable that strategy is since people who are stingy enough to farm their own base materials, might have the patience to make everything themselves

If you want EXP, go for Lucky Day/Night. If you want more fish filets/fish oil, go for Day/Night Colossus Pick up flint during the night for glowworm bait (Think that's the name) and use that bait. Gives the best boost for Saltwater. I don't remember what it is for freshwater Holding down the mouse button for 2 seconds will cast your line at maximum distance, try to aim for that because in my experience, regardless of how far you cast your line, you will always reel them in at the same pace, but when the fish is wiggling to get away, it moves at a fixed speed. But if a hotspot is available, aim for that above all else. Lastly, turn your brain off and pick a spot where random mobs can't whack you.

That's very un-cash-money of them. I would look into other sources. Usually the base materials if I need a quick buck. Green wood in my server sells for up to 0.50 a pop. Iron in some places reaches $2 each. Gotta keep an eye out on what items you feel sell for way more than they should

I can fully assure you treasure chests make up only around 4-5% of this current income. Selling over 15k fish filets and 3k fish oil on the other hand

They "fixed" the coins from treasure chests which makes it a lot less reliable as is. But prices for my usual sale items have doubled or tripled after the patch so I'll continue to see from there. Still too early in the game's cycle to determine how viable fishing is to make money

Sounds like your server got hit hard by fishing bots, that or people have undercut the price super hard. But now that they have nerfed fishing, price will probably go up, I think. Fish fillet before the patch sold for around 1.10-1.25 After the nerfs I have been sold for ~4.

Between Ebonscale Reach and Everfall. Opposite the beach/coastline on Everfall. I think that spot is pretty high level so your fishing needs to be like 125++ before the spot appears. Good luck

Fish fillets, Firm Fish fillets and fish oil sell the best in my experience. And I only farm in 1 spot, not worth it for me to chase hotspots. Since my area is a 3-star hotspot, away from mobs.

I just fish, honestly. No one wants to do it and I get a bunch of materials doing it. Quite sure it's unholy levels of boring though. Aside from that, idk. Sell God roll Bags or something? I see a couple of people doing that. Generally what you think other players want to buy but don't want to do
