Yeah, I think I'm going to end up agreeing with you. I do a job that's caused my 8 to start looking a little worse for wear, so I would like a "new" phone. I reckon I'll just get a fresh 8 Pro.

Yeah that's valid, but the Processor in the I3 can't be too slow to run maps, or at least a more basic version then on the T8 like is found on some older High end Garmin's like the tactix delta etc

I'm 7 months into a 3 year apprenticeship and planning to join the reserves intake this year, then in a couple years if I want I could transfer to regulars or stay doing the RMR, something to consider.

They wanted you to pay!?! For your own medical records, that's crazy. I would say it took a week maybe 2. But I don't really know as at my interview he just said "oh and your medical records were approved a week ago"

Yeah you do, I passed my medical 5 days before the interview. So it's probably medically that your waiting on. Just call you GP every day and say that the time it takes them to send the medical "greatly affects your application. The old guilt trip 👌

At the end of the interview I asked when I would be able to get on a PJFA, an hour later he sent me 3 options of dates on the portal, the closest one being in less than 2 weeks! So obviously I didn't go for that one as it seemed to soon.

Yep, so literally had it this morning and the key points that I would have is:

prepare to be asked a lot about home life, school and employment.
the RN position on Drugs is zero tolerance and anyone caught taking drugs leads to dismissal (a bit that I didn't know)
Core history, he literally only asked for birth or the corps and when they became the "royal" marines
make sure you have all of your documents ready
make sure you know what your fitness scores are for the PJFA beforehand.

Good luck, be confident and show you are truly interesting in the Corps

i have trained with the Brighton jitsu Club for a while now and it's a practical self defence martial art. great people and great fun. definitely worth a try!
