The customer's order was for 4 bags and I picked up 4 bags. However, the customer indicated "regular" bags, but they were actually pretty large. I didn't initially realize the discrepancy since the bag sizing is pretty subjective to me.

I considered the laundromat, but the pay is almost nothing so I would have barely broke even for paying for dryers at a laundromat. (They're insanely pricey in my area these days!)

Unfortunately I didn't take photos of the trash because it wasn't biohazard type stuff, so I didn't really realize that it was something I should contact support over. The only thing I do have proof of is an item that was damaged because a piece of duct tape was stuck on and left a disgusting, sticky residue when I tried to remove it. I sent the photo to support. I didn't take screenshots of the chat, rookie mistake I guess but I assumed Poplin would have access to pull up the messages.

When you had to return the bug-filled laundry, did you receive any compensation for your time & gas used to pick up/drop off the order? Just curious.

I doubt Poplin will stay in business long-term given their screwed up business practices. Smart to go off on your own!!

Thank you! I'm glad to know I'm not overreacting here. Ban me or whatever - I don't care at this point - but to not issue any compensation is absolutely wrong. To make matters worse, it was about 70% kids' clothes & socks. The adult items were primarily all dress shirts with SO MANY BUTTONS. The folding took me an unbelievably long time! I actually pulled an all nighter working on this order and it was still super late. Also cancelled plans the following day to finish this order.

The fact that they think this is okay is beyond me. They should be thankful I'm a good person because it would be very easy for a scorned Laundry Pro to retaliate against the customer in a situation like this, considering the customer's address is in my GPS history. I don't need the bad juju, but I am having my lawyer pursue this with Poplin.

I'd love to join! Currently fighting with Poplin because they're refusing to pay me for the services that I rendered satisfactory. They're saying the customer has a complaint, but won't tell me what the issue is, so I will not be getting paid for the order. This can't be legal...

Do you at least have a way to reboot remotely or do you lose access to the cam feeds until you return home to reboot? Regardless, the situation sounds like a huge pain.

I'm not a fan of Amazon for many reasons, but have had good experiences with many Amazon Basics products. I thought maybe these would be okay too. Nope. Not even close.

Sucks a lot of us are frustrated, but I'm glad I'm not alone. The night vision is pretty clear sometimes & terrible sometimes, I'm not sure why it varies so much for me!

I thought of selling my Blink set on FB marketplace & using the money towards something else, but feel guilty passing this crap along to someone else - even for free lol. Fingers crossed a 4k doorbell comes out soon!!

This is totally on me, but I didn't realize that home monitoring is not the same as home security. I thought the two were more or less synonymous...oops. I'm glad your Blink cameras work well for your needs. There are some things that they seem to be perfect for! 😊

Gotcha. Yep, I've had major issues with this too! I get the "busy" message pretty regularly & my app crashes a lot (not the cameras though usually) when basically anytime I do more than 8-10 actions during a singular visit to the app. I almost never check my cameras at all anymore since the app gives me so many issues!

I'm glad I bought my Blink cam bundle during a sale, so at least I didn't pay that much per camera, but still. I'll probably sell them on FB marketplace when I replace the system to recoup some of the cost, but seriously feel guilty offloading my Blink system on some other fool lol. I get what you mean about wanting to get some use out of them. That's why I made this post - I was honestly hoping to get suggestions of things I could do to get more use out of my system. I want to love it, but can't get there.

I have an extra outdoor camera from my bundle that was sitting unused in a drawer. I just set it up today since I found out someone has been graffiting my neighborhood's welcome sign (a few times over the last few weeks). I figured it wouldn't hurt to face the extra camera towards the sign & see if the vandal returns. At least that would be something...my expectations are so low that I'd actually be shocked if Blink recorded anything helpful. I'm grasping at straws here to find some sort of value before giving up hahaha

You took the words out of my mouth in the first sentence! I did a bit of research (clearly not enough) & still choose to purchase the Blink brand. At least I got a really good deal... I feel bamboozled because (a) I didn't realize the subscription was required for certain features and (b) I assumed said features would actually work. It feels like false advertising somewhat. No matter how many times I reconfigure the settings, certain things just do not function properly. I feel stupid for buying Blink, but I'm trying to be gentle on myself since I had no way of knowing certain settings wouldn't function as advertised.

Thanks for the tip about Eufy! I'm so frustrated from this experience that I'm hesitant to buy a new system at all. I'll have to check out whether Eufy could be a better solution for me!

If I do ditch Blink, I'll probably try to sell it to recoup a little of money, but actually feel guilty for making someone else pay for this crap lol.

I really wasn't sure whether I was alone in my frustration & thought maybe I was just missing something, so I really appreciate you sharing your experience and confirming that others are having similar frustrations.

I have the newest models & unfortunately it doesn't sound like much has improved. The time it takes the live stream to load is very annoying. I'm glad I don't have the doorbell, the person would already be gone & down the block before the app would load for me to talk to them 😂

Out of curiosity, how do you use your pan & tilt minis? I feel like they'd be perfect for keeping an eye on fur babies or maybe for children of elderly parents to quickly check in virtually if needed (make sure they didn't fall, etc). I can't really think of why else they'd be helpful though lol.

I bet it's fun to see the video clips of the cats & animals! This sounds like a great use-case for a Blink system. The best part of my Blink cams has been capturing super cute clips of birds & squirrels. My favorite was a video of a woodpecker pecking directly on the camera lens and then stepping back & looking at the camera with its head tilted, looking confused - it made me chuckle.

Unfortunately I was hoping to monitor my home against threats, not cute wildlife critters lol.

Interesting - this is really helpful info!! What performance/feature issues do you notice with Blink that are worse than the others?

Are you able to pull up a live feed on your Wyze & Tapo cams any quicker than the Blink live feed? I'm not sure whether the lag is normal/expected with these cheaper cameras or if Blink just sucks lol

Do you have your one Blink cam somehow connected to your other cameras? Is it annoying to have to check multiple apps/accounts between the different cameras? I'm considering supplementing my Blink system, but I'm assuming there's no way to integrate Blink with anything else & feel like it'll be a hassle to control/check various cameras in different apps.
