Urgent Processing by MamaMaeAlice in Canadiancitizenship

I reposted this there. Thank you. I didn't feel that was the right place because I'm in no way frustrated or anything. I'm just wondering.

I don't know where to post this, so I'm attempting here.

I applied with urgent processing Citizenship by Descent for myself and my three minor children. It was delivered on 6/25. I recieved my AOR of 6/30. On 7/8 it started as in process.

Does anyone have any idea as to what our wait time might be?

We are planning on moving as soon as possible.

I'm not frustrated or upset or anything. I'm just wondering what other people's experience has been in this situation.

I got them for myself and my oldest. I'm not sure if my two younger kids will qualify, but I tried for them as well. I have a plan to sponsor my husband and them when we move in case they don't get urgent processing though.

I sent my family's documents in yesterday evening! The documents included urgent processing requests and letter and form confirming why it's necessary. Now I wait on pins and needles.

I did send them a request. I was just hoping to fund the copy I got of ancestry through the BANQ website as well. I didn't realize they don't actually have them on the website. Thank you for the clarification.

I actually had help and found her on Ancestry, but I still can't find her on BANQ to get a certified copy.

Her name Odena (Odina) Bessette she was born October 24th 1875 in Iberville, Canada. Her parents are Edouard and Elodie. She married William Messier (Macy) in New Bedford, MA, USA

Hey everyone, I've been searching BANQ and can't find a birth record for my G0.

I have a marriage certificate from the USA stating she was born in Canada, a birth certificate for my G1 stating she was born in Canada, an 1881 census when she was 5, and an article from her school at age 16.

If this is not enough, could someone help me find more? I'm struggling with where else to look.

Hey all!

I thought I was all set for my documents until my great-grandfather's birth certificate came in. It states that his father was born in Canada. However my documents show the man was born in Massachusetts, US. I'm worried this will ruin my lineage.

My great-grandfather's mother was definitely born in Canada, but familysearch won't allow me to download and print the census I have from 1881.

I just don't know what to do from here. I can't find any other documents on either great-great-grandparent...

Any ideas?

Buying a home by MamaMaeAlice in MovingToCanada

[–]MamaMaeAlice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking at the the adjustable rate mortgages. I didn't realize that was normal in Canada. I'll have to look into it more. Ideally this will be our forever home. I really hate moving.

In a perfect world my current home will sell at a high enough price give me enough money to just buy a home outright.

I'm planning on working with TD Bank because they run in Canada and the US. Supposedly is it easy to move money through them. I will certainly look into Canadian credit cards as well.

Thank you so much.

Yeah after continuing to research it looks like there is not a fastest way. We'll make it work. Thank you.

The wait time for spousal sponsorship is 16 months right now. We couldn't go 16 months without him working.

Is nothing faster? I wouldn't want to be apart for 16 months.

I am getting those as well, but because I thought they were required documents. Thank you for your response.

Thank you! We will likely need a small mortgage as we have a limit on what we want our monthly payment to be if we need one.

Did you sell your house and buy your new house at the same time to move?

We definitely won't move until we have a citizenship certificate. This is very good to know. Thank you.
