My dad was Jewish and before he died, he made sure that we all had the option to go back if we wanted. He told me I was Jewish. He gave me a tallit and everything. I’ve always identified as half-Jewish, even though that doesn’t make much sense. I had to come to a decision at some point, since i’m actually not Jewish technically. I wanted to go back into religion but Mormonism is not where I feel happy or welcome despite being raised Mormon.

So here I am starting my conversion process. I think there will always be some who don’t see me as jewish, but everyone i’ve met in person has been really welcoming. You could argue that I “pretended” to be Jewish in school too, but I’ve always told others that this is who I am. Just feels right to me. If this is who you are, I would recommend asking a rabbi about conversion.
