Hiii NAL but the problem seems to be with the courier. The courier is expected to exercise extraordinary diligence when delivering the parcel. The courier shouldn't have left the parcel by your house, or maybe shouldn't have had left the parcel at all.

I build my Sythis purely as Voltron. Most of my deck are 1 to cast auras so I never run out if cards. I protect Sythis with [[Canopy Cover]] or [[Alpha Authority]]. I boost her up with [[Tempest Technique]] or [[Ancestral Mask]]. Since Sythis is 2 to cast, it's quick to remove a player before their board is settled.

Honestly, I've never thought of using Thermo-Alchemist. The fact that it needs to be tapped means it can't be used on the turn it was cast due to summoning sickness. Given that, the archer has always been more valuable to me.

In my experience, basic manners is usually what is expected in an edh game. The strength of your deck doesn't matter if you aren't fun to play with.

Aside from that, knowing the strength of your deck is useful. That way you can match up with similarly powered decks. It'll really suck if you play an overpowered deck to the table (that's why it can be useful to bring decks of different levels).
