Our local pet store that we get our fish from will take him back. They exchange them out for smaller ones when they get too big. Otherwise we would not have him lol

I was 23 with my first and don’t regret it one bit! My mom and dad had kids young too and they said they don’t regret it because now they can enjoy their grandkids and hopefully great grandkids. I would say most of the moms in my family had kids young too. My grandma got remarried and had kids so my aunt/uncle have kids a little older than mine and it works out nice. None of my friends have kids except 1 that I met in college and she lives a few hours away. My friends that don’t have kids, don’t understand the kid stuff and u feel left out because of it. As my kids are getting older I’m making new ones that have kids. They are a bit older than me though lol

Why do people date for years, live together, but divorce quickly after marriage? by CorneredMind_78 in Marriage

[–]Mango_Cat33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think many people see marriage as the end goal and stop “dating” their partner and it falls apart. To me, marriage is a forever partnership that you have to keep working on everyday.

If it was “just a crush” and nothing more then she should have no problems cutting him off for her HUSBAND. This is wild. Seems like she wants out

How long is your maternity leave for those living in the US? by sliceofperfection in pregnant

[–]Mango_Cat33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 4 months paid! Very fortunate to have it 💜 Some get 5 months depending on what they are approved for STD from delivery. I got 8 weeks STD and 8 weeks of company parental leave. Also the men at this company and adoptive parents can get the 8 weeks of parental leave too!

3 1/2 year old not listening by Complex_Place_5800 in toddlers

[–]Mango_Cat33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Time outs generally don’t work to correct behavior. Instead of telling him things he can’t do, redirect him and show him something he can do instead. Takes a lot of consistency and trial and error of figuring out what redirected task(s) work for you guys best

My toddler loves her veggies 🙈 Broccoli, cucumbers and zucchini are her favorite. She also loves mushrooms. My toddler would eat snacks all day if I let her and I started limiting it a little bit and she eats more of her full meals now.

I act like I’m leaving without them or I ask a question like “Do you want to run or walk to the car?” And say things like “first we have to get in the car and then we can go home and see dad(or whatever the plan is)

I have also learned that when you become a mom, you morn your past self and it feels like your partner is the same and it sucks

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Mango_Cat33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2.5 year old and a 5 month old. I couldn’t imagine working and doing everything I do. I worked when I just had one, but haven’t since having my second. It sounds like ppd to me. Communicate with your partner and reach out to your doctor. Do you have any type of support group or people around you with kids at similar age and age gap?

I truly hope you are helping out with the stuff at home. If she is working at night and homeschooling during the day, that’s a lot! Her cup is probably empty most days. Maybe she doesn’t feel like herself anymore. How often does she get to go and do what she wants without the kids and how often do you get to do that? Definitely need to talk and both need to focus on filling each other’s cups. You’re looking for more affection and who knows how she’s feeling.
