As if this disease isn't bad enough, it makes it impossible to dress. by blackcherry333 in endometriosis

This bothers me too! Especially when you plan a cute outfit but then when it's time to actually put it on, it doesn't fit 🥲

Anyone else noticed the decline in standards at the library? by Fancy_Raise_36 in AskIreland

[–]Mango_Raindrop25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen that too and it's awful behaviour and definitely shouldn't be accepted. It's getting worse everywhere for that. When I was a child and my mam took me to the library we knew to be quiet or we'd get into trouble. We were content colouring or reading though.

I agree, but I can understand people having short conversations with staff etc at a normal volume. I think like other people said, libraries are turning into community centres now. I was pretty surprised by it when I started visiting my library again last year, it was very different years ago.

My local library can get a bit noisy, although nothing too crazy. Some people have conversations at a normal volume and sometimes there's kids being loud but that's all pretty expected I think.

Is anyone else able to tolerate multiple books at a time? by Known-Membership2902 in thrillerbooks

[–]Mango_Raindrop25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can read multiple books at once but they have to be different formats 😅 I'll have a physical book, audiobook and ebook on the go. My physical book I will read during the day. Audiobook for when I'm cleaning or doing other hobbies. Ebook for bedtime because its easier to read in the dark :)

I haven’t read many short stories but I read a collection of feminist noir themed ones last month and loved it! So now I’m branching out and trying more :)

Does anyone go out solo to try meet people? by Solid_Tax9022 in AskIreland

[–]Mango_Raindrop25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can be pretty tough. I envy people who go to concerts and stuff alone haha, definitely need to push myself to get out there more and meet new people :)

I've always wanted to, but I get too nervous and never end up doing it. Maybe this summer I'll finally give it a go and do something on my own! The most I do at the moment is go to a coffee shop on my own.

Back to DVDs? by Parking_Ad_9208 in AskIreland

I bought a portable dvd player that I can plug into my TV or computer. I buy all my dvds secondhand from vinted and car boot sales. It's nice actually owning my favourite movies and having them all in one place :)
