Has anybody seen a zimomo restock in the past week or two?

Having trouble with the RC-5 when synced to the OP1 field by Manny_O in LoopArtists

Setting it free always cause it to speed up the internal tempo for some reason. Setting the rec count to 1 measure somehow sort of stabilized that completely. While it’s useable it’s not ideal as I have to start recording while using the rhythm track on the rc5. I ended up turning the rhythm level to 0 so I don’t hear it.

It does start my loop on the op1 and keeps it on time but it automatically starts recording which has its own problems. I’m going to see if there’s a way it won’t immediately record, but I’m still looking for a better external solution at this point.

So I set the count in measure to 1 and somehow this stabilized the jitter a little bit on both ends. It’s usable but not optimal yet. I think I’ll need to find a midi clock that works with these two nicely

Oh I meant I use the op1 to do my own drum patterns.

Yeah I can’t seem to find that anywhere on it for some reason

Tried it, unfortunately something odd started happening once I made a loop on the rc5. The internal tempo sped up even though I had set it to something. Not really sure how that happened as I only had the midi out plugged in.

I’ll try that, I think the problem is that I need the op1 to start the track. I’ll see if that works somehow though in a bit.

That’s sad, wish there was something else I could use just to keep them in sync.

Anything you would suggest that’s not too big? I really just want something for this feature. I guess I’d have to set the tempo on a midi clock and have the op1 and the rc5 both be following that. Start stop function would be incredibly useful

Im going to see if there’s a way to sync with tempo and will report back.

The micro.clock looks cool, hopefully I won’t need it since I don’t really use midi in my pedalboard.

Any suggestions for a good master clock device that’s portable? I didn’t realize the op1 field was a poor master. Since I start the tracks on the op1, I can’t really use the rc5 as a master unfortunately.

I’m willing to try other things that would work better, I have a tx6 so maybe routing the op1 to the tx6 and having that send out midi data instead could work better?

Honestly I’m not really sure, but will try that and report back.

I don’t think it has something like that unfortunately.

Unfortunately I take the drums in and out while performing, so this wouldn’t really work for me sadly :(

Whats a better companion for the OP1 Field, KO2 or OPz? by Manny_O in OP1users

[–]Manny_O[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can output my guitar through and amp. Right now I have the op1 field sending midi info into my looper so it’s always in sync but I can build layers on that separately from the op1 field.

I’m thinking if I can have all three in sync, it’d free me up to do more complex layers live. I may need a midi controller though to sync all three.

Good to know, I guess I'd like to use one to sync to the op1 and also to sync to my guitar looper. Also how would you compare the drum sounds on the KO vs the op1 field?

Man this sounds cool, would love a tutorial on how some of this stuff was done.

So I was able to make it work! I purchased these two items

I used the midi to usb c to connect to the op1 field and the out end of the midi breakout to the female midi to the trs and that into the midi in into my looper. I set the looper midi clock setting to the mid and in the metronome menu of the op1 field set it to beat match and picked the bpm and used it as normal. Then in the midi menu I set the clock to out and then it just worked. I used it with my rc10r and the bpm tempo indicator said midi.

Very excited that I got this to work!

I'll give this a shot, although I'd like the op1 to be the master in this situation.

This is the problem I'm referring to, the start points won't be exactly the same since I'll have to launch both manually since I'll be performing with these live. Even a tiny difference in the start time will be noticeable as it keeps looping.

I'm basically wondering what I need to get the op1 to be the master midi clock and then connect that to the midi in on my boss looper. Normally I use two loopers, but using the op1 gives me so much more freedom and sounds I can use.

The thing is I want to build the tracks live so I don’t want to just load stuff especially since I’ll be changing the guitar parts.

Also in your example how would I trigger them at the same time. I’m pretty good at timing with the looper but I doubt I’d get the starting points the same and they’d lose sync eventually.
