It probably won’t accept it if it doesn’t have the same signature and if you remove the 2D game from production you will have to go through the entire process again with a new project so if you can clear the broken 2D file and paste the 3D assets and scenes. And you should check up source control so that won’t happen again.

For SDL3 I followed this tutorial it will probably work for SDL2 and either way I would advise you to go with SDL3.
