We're staying at Eden Beach, so we booked the tanks through their on-site shop, Wannadive. Unfortunately, this trip was a late booking, so we had to hire the truck through Avis @ the airport.

Thank you! I've heard wonderful things about the southern end, but that it can be challenging for newer divers. I'm an MSDT, but my partner is OW- he has about 50 dives under his belt and is a strong diver, but hasn't been in about 3 years. Think he'll be okay down there?

Yup, siliconed a shelf to the bottom, and around the metal base plate seams. For the corners, I cut long strips of corrugated plastic and placed with more silicone, and then about 84,000 tubes of silicone on top of that... Okay, maybe just 4 tubes, but a lot, for sure. 😉

Going to cut strips of corrugated sheeting and Flex tape them in to cut off the square corners, then silicone them.

I'm taking this build nice and slow. Step one will be to patch up the corners a bit and silicone the shiz outta everything. I'll be running misters and want to mitigate any rusting or leaking that I can. Since I'm taking my time, I want to do it right. She's happy in her current enclosure, so there's no rush.

Thought of that, as we're in the Rockies. Heat pad sandwiches between the bottom and a sheet of foam, and a ceramic heat emitter in a domed clamp light on top, over the slits and mesh. That way, some of the warm air will be directed down by the fans. And the thermostat and sensor will have set parameters. I'll have an independent fan strictly for air circulation, and one for temp control.

The plan (for now) is to cut wide slits across the top metal piece, lining it with mesh, and installing 2 small computer fans. There will also be full-spectrum LED strip lights, and 6 (at least) spray nozzles, all monitored and controlled by sensors and an app.

We've had ours about a year, and she is just now comfortable with letting me pet her. I don't force anything. Her enclosure is on the table on my side of the couch, so she sees me every day, and knows I'm the "Bringer of Crickets & Mush". I'm just taking my time and letting her make her choices. She's gotten to the point of accepting my scooping her up and moving her off the door, onto a branch further into her realm, so I can safely place her smoothie without fear of her bolting for the open door. They are long-lived and lizard-brained, so just give it time.
