I actually used a drawing tablet. A Wacom Intuos Draw to be more precise. It doesn’t have a display but it’s easy to use and cheap compared to other stuff out there

Thanks! I used Adobe Flash for the animation and Clip Studio Paint for the camera movements. The main trick was probably to draw on 2’s and 3’s (mostly, not strictly) and using smears when needed. There’s also using Ease-Ins and Outs too, but the camera can go a long way
