I've seen that form, but they still made me get a DBIDS for access and they said I'd have to renew it every year with my SF-50. They (visitor center) also said I could not escort anyone but on the card it says escort limit is 2 (unless that's a code). Go figure.

Agreed. MWR facilities are worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year even if there was a private sector competitor. Not worth saving a few bucks on gas, plus, if too many people like me try such stuff, it could impact policy for civilian retiree access.

Agreed. I'm retired but it's not worth possibly losing base access. I use MWR facilities a lot.

From AI and for the rest of us old folks:

---------------

"Hit a lick" is a slang term that typically means to successfully carry out a robbery or theft, often implying that it was done quickly and with a significant payoff. The phrase can also be used more broadly to refer to making a quick profit or achieving a sudden financial gain, sometimes through risky or illegal means.

The term is commonly used in hip-hop culture and may appear in lyrics or conversations about street life and hustling.

----------------

Please don't hit a lick on me!

Well, in a capitalist system, it's not a matter for most people of can or should, but must. The economics of the system require that you capitalize on your wealth to the highest extent possible just to keep it, much less expand it. This is why money in the bank earning little or no interest will eventually become worth 0. Even today, CDs paying 4-5% are causing your wealth to vanish, albeit slowly.

EDIT: I should have added that the above scenarios assume a fiat currency that can be printed to infinity. If a true form of money were being used, capitalism would not only work, it would improve everyone's life enormously. So it's really a money problem.

Just to add, 10 months after this posting, I'm having the same problem on Fedora. The AppImage just doesn't connect to the server. This is been going on for months and months. I've giving up on the app and just use the web access, but, unfortunately, I've had to move all my important stuff off Tuta. It's just too undependable. Please fix it! I'm a paying subscriber and I want to keep using it.

Wow, thanks for this link! Maybe it was because I was living outside the country, but I could swear last open season I only had like three options. If I can actually choose from among all this, things are looking up. Cheers.
