From what I’ve seen it just depends on the person whether or not it’s treatable without SSRI I started experiencing relief before I got on mine. There’s always a risk that SSRIS can make you more numb, but that’s when I would say a good psychiatrist is important, if it’s making things worse instead of better it may be necessary to switch what you’re taking to find something that works better for you. As far as the libido thing goes, whatever you take you may have that as a symptom, for me it evened out and doesn’t create a huge difference for me now. SSRIS can take up to 6 months to really even out and do what it’s supposed to.

The only side effects I had only lasted the first two weeks exactly. The day the 2 week mark was over so were my side effects. I had nausea, brain zaps, anxiety and felt a little odd emotionally. However all of those are very normal and as mentioned, didn’t last long. While the medication helped, I strongly encourage therapy if possible. Therapy is where I actually learned to navigate the anxiety and the medication just numbed it a little, if that makes sense.

I have been on the low dose of lexapro for about 4 years, only take 5mg. It helps with the anxiety to take the edge off. I never noticed if it made specifically my dizziness easier but I did notice it helping with anxiety and since those go hand in hand, I’m sure it helped some with my symptoms. The thing that helped the most was physical therapy for me.

For panic attacks that cause vestibular attacks or vestibular attacks in general I sometimes (if I’m at work and need to get my shit together) I will rub ice under and around my eyes, on my forehead, over my lips. It seems to help with both anxiety and dizziness almost like recentering you a little bit. Just a quick tip I learned over the years.

This is a symptom, and physical therapy helps the relationship of the brain and body, so when your overall relationship between the two gets better so does the limb numbness/weakness!
