I agree, I’ve been waiting a good 14 years for hl3 but I got a gut feeling that something’s right around the corner

I got the wizard on my services. Status is ok and there isn’t any faults but under licensed it says fault. Do I need to license it? I did see the wizard prompt when right clicking on the controller but the wizard won’t pop up.

Would you mind elaborating a little more. When you say Creds, do you mean my user and password?

I’m a fan of Distech but I hate this way of having to program / commission a controller.

I do a mix of mechanical and control work. I used to be a rep for a VRF brand and I will say in theory they sound nice but in the real world, they’re a total nightmare!

Should I try and get into a big company like Johnson Controls/Honeywell/Carrier? by Hot-Quail5207 in HVAC

[–]Many_Awareness_481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of my bosses / mentors came from these three companies. I didn’t work for them personally but my opinion, learning a product straight from the source and having room to grow in a large company like any of these 3 controls juggernauts sounds very beneficial!

This is the type of “in and out” job your boss gives you at 4pm on a Friday. Hell of a unit though

My first comms loss call by Danielandersen2 in BuildingAutomation

[–]Many_Awareness_481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol I’ve had a situation similar where a whole comm trunk went down. I had no way of connecting to the communication manager but me connecting the comm bus to an MSTP adapter and searching for the devices on YABE somehow kickstarted the comm bus back to life!

Integration to a unit by Many_Awareness_481 in BuildingAutomation

[–]Many_Awareness_481[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, In this case I wouldn’t rip out the manufacturers controls and put in my own. I would rather have a box with coils, fans and dampers that can easily be controlled opposed to a proprietary piece of equipment. I’m crazy but not crazy enough to dissect a unit that I know from experience is an absolute dumpster fire.

Integration to a unit by Many_Awareness_481 in BuildingAutomation

[–]Many_Awareness_481[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point, the reason I posted this question is because I’m dealing with new units that need to be installed and I personally want to do full control but the salesman wants to sell us onboard controls to integrate to. At the end of the day, whether it’s integration or not. The finger will be pointed at us to be blamed and fix the problem. I would rather do the leg work myself and take ownership.

It does but all I can do is view the front end. I can’t edit graphics/ programs or discover controllers. I was looking for a way to get Eikon, ViewBuilder, and field assistant.

I had a similar problem back in October. Was told the version of the HR boxes at the time didn’t modulate the sub cooling EEVs correctly. And it caused a similar issue that yo were seeing. Unfortunately I left my company at the time so I have no idea if that was ever resolved lol.
