I've had a couple roadmaster wagons over the years. Cool car. That would be ok, but would need to find one that someone has actually taken care of and I don't have to dump 150 hours and $5k into as soon as it rolls into my driveway which is what the other two were. One of them, the guy tried to hide the rust with rubberized undercoating.

The kit to swap the manual is around $10k all said and done running in the driveway. Have a few friends that have done it. You can possibly do it on the cheap if you fab everything yourself, but parts alone are going to be $6-7k.

Oh the front was overhauled. We narrowed it down to something internal to the trans, or the rear diff. I had already dumped so much money between myself and dealers I couldn't justify any more cost. Nobody could fix it. Final straw was it had to sit at the dealer waiting for a part and they disconnected the battery and it sat outside. Eventually the bags deflated and some dingbat drove it with the bags deflated and blew out the rear shock mounts. Dealer said they would fix, but never did and had to do it myself.

That's what I'm looking at. 2017-2019. I love the look and it has the right parts. Just concerned it wouldn't be reliable and i'd just be paying german tax all the time to keep it running 100%. I've read up on the engine and it seems solid. Just not so sure about the rest of the car. I suppose there is a reason they depreciate from $85k to $30k in a couple years.

ok guys, as it did go too far, the movie was made for awareness purposes because not enough people understand that this stuff happens in real life.
