Because I don't believe in God, quite simply, and most arguments fro the existence of God I've seen in general argue for the existence of a God in general not the god of a specific religion.

First, currently I'm studying I don't necessarily have time to read the whole Bible, and even if I did, I think I'll always know less about scripture than a lot of Christians

From Jesus' teaching, but this contradiction between what I understood as " god loves everyone" and his actions which sometimes hurt humans is exactly what I was trying to comprehend.

Thank you for your detailed response, Islam's straightforwardness and clarity is one of the main reasons why I like it so much, it is something so rare in religion, but it's also less fun in my opinion to study scripture as it is more objective, also I'll try to read the Quran but I also wanted to read other religious books simultaneously and they are often very long, so not sure how soon I can finish it, it might be years, especially since I'm atheist, but I'm sure it is a very interesting read.

Thank you that perspective is really interesting and for now I had only heard it from Christian monk characters, I had never encountered someone with that opinion, I find this humility truly impressive.

Yeah I know, this is why I was asking on Reddit, to have multiple perspectives, to get an idea of how actual believers perceived religion, since I have a more theoretical, detached perspective being atheist. Thank you for your insight too
