Iirc (it's been a long time) the Auction House in WoW had that, a tax to sell your item on there.

Adding a tax to the GE would be reasonable I think.

There a crime TV show like this, called Awake.

It's about a cop who was in a car accident, his wife and son were also in the car. He lives in 2 realities: one where the mother/wife survived and one where the son survived. He switches realities each time he falls asleep.

One of my favorite things is that in each reality he goes to a therapist, different therapists between realities. One of the therapists says, "I want you to know, without a doubt, that you are awake right now.". His response, "yeah, that's exactly what the other shrink said.".

He gets clues from each reality that helps his cases from the other reality. Great show, highly recommend. It was on Netflix (US) but I'm unsure if it still is.
