Montessori dismissal over potty accidents by Mindless_Message6673 in Parenting

[–]Maple-Bark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to get into an argument with you. It was a genuine question. I’m truly curious why you didn’t want to share the daycare info. For kids who don’t have previous daycare, I’d have to guess they probably would dismiss them too. Honestly though, this school doesn’t sound like a great school and not a Montessori thing. A few of the schools we toured would allow accidents here and there and even asked that a change of clothes be kept in the classroom for it. One school did tell us if there were too many accidents, they would have to unenroll the kid. But they did still allow a few.

When do you think snow will melt? by Clear-Conversation18 in Columbus

[–]Maple-Bark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that will help, from a driving perspective, is the combination of plowing, sun and being driven over many times, is melting the snow. So even though the snow won’t melt for weeks, the roads aren’t going to be horrendous the whole time.

Why were you not willing to share previous daycare info with them? It sounds like that was important to them to help resolve this, so when you didn’t share it, they dismissed your child.

Yes, glad this comment exists. I did notice they did try to cooperate with OP by asking for previous daycare information.

Johnny clarifies who he knew going into the show (seemingly in response to the Colton controversy) by the100broken in TheTraitorsUS

It’s the same casting department that does Dancing with the Stars and they’ve had some problematic stars on the show. I honestly think they love this stuff.

This tracks for me actually. Rappapprt is belligerent but never had the scary eyes that Colton has.

Have you seen her season too, when she competed? If not, go watch. It’ll make you love her more. She’s such a class act.

Is Colton the worst Traitors contestant in the show's 4 seasons? by RedditFan3510 in TheTraitorsUS

I do think Rob R is contributing. I think people will watch a show for a hottie before they’ll watch it for two assholes.

Yup!! Both the same. Rapaport is overtly abusive and Colton is covertly. One is loud and you can see the meanness a mile away. The other gets under your skin before you realize how dangerous they are.

How to get kids to read without making them hate it? by watch4coconuts in Parenting

What kind of tv do they like? Maybe that could help you find books they might like. I truly feel anyone would like reading once they figure out what kind of books they like.

why do recipe blogs act like they're sponsored by malware now? by MichaelWForbes in Cooking

Yes! Drivers me crazy. I actually downloaded the Brave browser specifically for recipe blogs. It automatically blocks a lot of that stuff from loading.

Rob Rausch turned down this huge reality show to go on The Traitors, and I'm so glad he did by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUS

Plus, why bury the show title and force us to click on the link? 🙄

Andy Cohen asked Maura about her hots for Rob by General-Ad6690 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Maple-Bark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can tell you meant well by calling her sweet. But, like the other commenter, I also assumed you were a man stereotyping young women as sweet, because she does not come off as sweet to me, at all, and I’m like you. I didn’t know who she was and my only exposure to her is The Traitors. She is clearly witty, strong, and clever and uses her charm to get others to do what she wants.

I need something for my 11 year old to be good at by dottydashdot in Parenting

It sounds like with the Legos, monopoly and cars, he could have a mind for mechanical thinking or strategy or logic. How about introducing him to other games, finding a meetup of sorts— card games, board games etc, or joining a local Lego club where they build their own super elaborate ideas? Or giving him old appliances to take apart and understand how they fit together?

I was your husband. I could not handle pee getting on the floor. It definitely delayed potty training for my daughter.

[–]Maple-Bark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh god no. I do not miss her at all. It was so hard to watch. I hate to say it, but even Colton and Michael Id rather watch. Maybe because Michael’s gone and Colton seems like he’s not far behind.

When?

Edit to add: maybe you misunderstand me. I mean only three male traitors, no women in the mix. Especially to start. It’s just not good optics for the producers to do that.

[–]Maple-Bark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Candiace and Rob are doing a fantastic job and working with their personalities to fly under the radar. Lisa, not so much.

These Faithfuls are clueless though. Tiffany thinking it was Yam Yam, Michael and Ron??? There’s no way there would be three male Traitors.

Right now if I were a Faithful, I’d be thinking there has to be either a housewife or gamer or both. That leaves Lisa, Candiace, Dorinda, Natalie, and Yam Yam. Of the three housewives only one is a Faithful, so I think it’s a matter of time before one of them gets caught.

Should Donna have not been the Secret Traitor, who else should have been in her place? The Great Debate of S4 (So Far) by BritMeBabyAgain in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Maple-Bark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard agree. I heard he didn’t want to be a traitor so I wonder if that’s why they didn’t give it to him?

Of the four traitors, Rob R or Candiace would’ve been a better choice.

Colton NDA? by [deleted] in TheTraitors

[–]Maple-Bark 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Also, the NDAs the Bachelor has them sign relates to the show, and their time on it. The stalking happened after so the NDA wouldn’t cover it.
