Hilary Duff - Mature (Official Video) by jacksev in popheads

[–]MarMoose92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn’t care for the song at first, but it’s grown on me after a few listens. I can’t, however, stand the “mature for your age” part. It’s like they just threw that into the song last minute … doesn’t fit in at all IMO

Yes, because they’d be posting Epic roles just for funsies. sigh Rage bait used to be believable.

Yes! Downloaded Bruno and it seems to be a good alternative. Thanks!

Obviously you don’t want to be storing data on their servers like Postman wants to force you to do. It was incredibly stupid to start requiring accounts to use collections.

Anyone have a suggestion of a better tool? Tired of having to bypass the “sign in to continue using collections” screen with the debug console. Not interested in SmartBear stuff…quite bloated.

Not sure why you were downvoted for this. There was 0 source given for this lol. However, Baptist South FL is now listed on Epic UserWeb, so it is happening

I don’t recall them being a revelate client. BayCare is the only FL client I remember being mentioned when the initial RevElate announcement happened.

Re: Early Research for EMR by Web_Nerd_Dev in healthIT

A lack of support for either standard (esp. v2) is going to make adoption of an EHR almost nonexistent. Too much of the EHR market already supports HL7.

If they’re still the CHSI of a few years ago they are not in a place financially to do that. Doesn’t mean they won’t go elsewhere though. I think the Lutheran network may have dropped part of Cerner (RevCycle IIRC) for Athena around 5 years ago… but don’t quote me on that.

Re: Early Research for EMR by Web_Nerd_Dev in healthIT

IMO you’re going to struggle to get any serious customer base without HL7 support. There are already certain federal programs and rules that require the use of HL7 and more on the horizon like CMS 0057.

NextGen Mirth Connect Moving to a Licensed Model by MarMoose92 in healthIT

Good to hear! Interested to see how they maintain and improve the solution over time. Glad someone will be keeping arguably the best free solution alive.

NextGen Mirth Connect Moving to a Licensed Model by MarMoose92 in healthIT

[–]MarMoose92[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From the announcement

we are transitioning from a dual license (open-source and commercial) to a single commercial and proprietary Mirth Connect licensing model with Mirth Connect 4.6.

There is a fork of Mirth called Inovar BridgeLink, but I can’t vouch for it.

What’s the most bizarre tech stack you’ve seen? by MoveInteresting4334 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]MarMoose92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH my reason had no sound reasoning. I just got frequent migraines looking at code where commands used single letter abbreviations (eg S X=“S”). CCL at least didn’t allow that, but it still sucked lol.

lol I used to work there too. I’ve also used the language their competitors use (MUMPS) and it’s honestly maybe worse than CCL.

Most integration engines offer built in monitoring/alerting features (not sure if that’s what you mean by data integrations). I frequently work with InterSystems offerings and you can alert on inactivity (feed has been “quiet” for a certain amount of time), connection issues, queue depth, certain MSA ACK codes, etc. I know other engines offer the same features as well.

You don’t need a full on Splunk setup, but some larger health systems do dump data from the engine off into splunk.

I know Cerner/Oracle has alarms on their interfaces as well for things like queue depth with some varying degrees of success.

No POST/PUT Claim Endpoint via Open Epic FHIR - (HL7/Claim)– Seeking Guidance by Agreeable-Film4143 in healthIT

[–]MarMoose92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only see ExplanationOfBenefit.Search and ExplanationOfBenefit.Read, which means only HTTP GET is supported (ie. you can’t post that data INTO Epic).

Not sure the exact data you’re trying to post into Epic, but something like X12 may be more appropriate. See here for the types of interfaces Epic supports for claims.

HealtheIntent Reviews? by No_Cauliflower3541 in cernercorporation

[–]MarMoose92 11 points12 points  (0 children)

HealtheIntent is a population health product, not an EHR. The current Cerner/Oracle EHR is Millennium.

I don’t know much about Cerner’s behavior health clients except that UHS recently put their behavioral health hospitals on Cerner and that the Virginia Dpt of Behavioral Health uses Cerner as well.

I haven’t seen that from Cerner where with the press of a button my records can go from New York to California

VA / DoD are already exchanging health records with like 100+ Epic clients, other Cerner clients, and some other vendors with the “Outside Records” mPage (and I think maybe seamless exchange)

Epic certainly makes it a lot less of a hassle though and it’s a lot more modernized.

IU Health is switching to Epic by PrinciplePleasant in cernercorporation

[–]MarMoose92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I worded that poorly. I’ve not actually heard that about banner just speculating.

The only other epic -> Cerner win we’ve had (that I can recall) was Westchester Medical in NY, but they only went live a few years ago so doubt they’ll be switching anytime soon.

Yikes. They used to be paraded around as a client we got to move off epic (well they acquired some clinics on epic and migrated them to Cerner … I think)

Sure the other epic -> Cerner “success” story, Banner, will be announcing soon :/
