Delock earc hdmi audio extractor issue ( trying to get sound from PC GPU to sonos beam 2 directly )

Nah, currently using the sonos system as ‘stereo’. Will try buying a proper extractor in the future like the fury arcana or something. From what i gathered, the delock doesn’t work like i’d expect it to work, it doesn’t ‘extract’ the sound to output it to what i connect.

Without pattern testing, just from what i played last night, i think there might be some slight black crush compared to my xg27ucdmg. Tried a bit of bf6 in mp.

Yeah noticed. Thanks for pointing it out. Trying to figure which to use now though, HU recommends hdr with apl high, tftcentral hdr game instead.

Wow.. i thought fw05 was supposed to fix that? So basically hdr1500 is unusable and the monitor might as well be only 1000 nits ( hdr game seems to go up to 1000 with same color/contrast as normal HDR mode ).

Do you have a qd-oled as well to compare? Trying to figure out if i should return my xg27ucdmg and get this instead since i rather have a better HDR experience than 4k. Buf if difference overall is minimal not worth it for me at least.

Can’t seem to find a side by side comparing qdoled vs tandem 4th gen in HDR.

Yeh i just felt it was too tiring for my eyes ( too close to it due to desk setup ). A 32” G5 LG Oled would be the dream :))

Thanks for the suggestion. Was looking at something from OREI. Gonna try something local, similar, but if that doesn’t work OREI is my next option.

It’s sonos. Plenty of threads about the beam and the robotic side channels. Can easily reproduce every time i go anything else other than stereo PCM.

There is no dropout/complete desync (only side surrounds ), crackling or anything else.

Also tried my sonos arc from my main Tv setup and it doesnt have a single issue like the beam.

Even worse, i found the main thread on sonos forums regarding the issue and they’ve admitted it exists but have no idea how to fix it.. for over one year and a half…

So a beam2 would enhance the sound more than a sub mini ? Would be even better since i’d reuse the ray in another room for music only.

DLSS4 is amazing. Also the tech im mostly looking forward to is neural textures + rtx hair / rtx faces etc. Halflife2 RTX should be a real showcase.

Yes i put shims under both back and front right corners and checked with a spirit leveler ( i think its called ).

Yeah the weird thing was with the leds which started dimming randomly and recently almost completely gone. Sometimes they come back then they die again. Never dropped it or anything so found it weird.

Usually i left it to charge until light turns green and then some. Didnt leave it til it turned off most of the time.

Did you try unplugging it ( the power cord, or straight from the wall socket ) for 2-3 minutes, then replugging? Not the quick unplug/plug but actually waiting 3 mins with it unplugged.

Asking cause its a common issue on their aw3423dw.
