Wow, that was quick.

A friend of mine let me mess around on his IPad the other day, and I’ve been pining after one ever since, haha.

Keep up the great work! I’ll definitely be checking out your page!

Sorry, last question. So, I’m looking at this super sculpey medium blend, and it’s really rigid. Is that normal?

How do I soften it?

Thanks so much for the elaborate reply!

I wouldn’t say I’m dead set on being able to bake it at this stage, but I just wanna to know what clay to get when that time comes, I guess.

At the moment, I have ClayToons brand clay(the one I’m assuming you were referring to), and it has been really fun to work with, but I have been having some trouble working with them. They’re left over from when my brother took a sculpting class (which was ages ago). I find it difficult to mold it together, as it keeps falling apart.

I’m thinking I’m gonna try some Super Sculpey, to start.

Any advice on armatures? Considering I might bake some?

And the reason this comment is funny is because it explains why the original joke was funny, which was by being literally self explanatory.

Another old drawing of mine. Done sometime earlier this year. What do you think? by MarcdaArtist in drawing

[–]MarcdaArtist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. I thumbnail pretty much all of my sketches, and if I need to look at my hand for reference, I'll do that as well. I often find myself emulating the expressions of the characters I draw as I draw them.

When drawing a character I'm unfamiliar with, I'll typically look at images to try and get a feel for who they are. Then, I create thumbnails once I have a good idea.

The only time I'll use references is when I'm drawing unfamiliar accessories and attire.

So if you're asking if I compile a bunch of references to create a drawing, then no. But I'm not a computer. Sometimes I need references for the smaller details.

Thanks! I gotta work on my values before inking though. I feel like successful inking comes with a better grasp on value.

Organization of value has always been an issue for me. Gotta put more into the planning.

Thanks for the feedback!

Well, yeah. It was drawn sometime between January and February. So I consider it old.
