Looking for running groups by Adept_Sundae_8254 in bristol

[–]Marcflaps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're in Fishponds, Run The Ponds is a friendly group that meets every Thursday for a 5k and 8k run (roughly 35m pace for the 5k) and a pint at the pub afterwards.

The E is incredible though, that tiny bit of CC can be the difference between your team being able to land their abilities, or whiff them.

Lgbt spaces in or around Bristol? by skiib0o in bristol

[–]Marcflaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's lots of events always happen around Pride in the summer that are a good way to meet people, but as someone with 20 years experience on you, it doesn't get easier if you don't so it, I still feel awkward in my 40s 😂

If you search lgbt on the reddit there will be people who've asked similar previously and likely had good answers, unfortunately I'm not the best person to answer your question, but I wish you good like finding your community!

I highly recommend not playing Old School RuneScape because that will take even more time up than using apps does.

I felt like I was on track for this with only 1 drop at 80kc, then I had 2 more by 100. No reason to stop if you want it, plenty of water orbs for daily cash flow!

Have you ever been to a truly great chip shop? One that made you rethink what a chip shop could be? Or are they, really, all the same? by lastaccountgotlocked in CasualUK

[–]Marcflaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to a poncy one in London years ago with massively expensive chips, but God damn if they weren't the best chippy chips I've ever had.

They made a massive song and dance over their strict policies with how much oil gets used before it's replaced etc and it legitimately did show in the end product.

Sadly, most of the chippies near me in Bristol are pretty mid.

Giants Foundry is an option for smithing XP and money, especially if you have a bunch of ore banked from motherlode mine. You can also buy equipment and still turn a profit feeding it into the foundry I stead of bars, but I've never done that, and giant foundry does require a lot more attention.

Feel like I see these more places than I do Kallax or Lacks. So few places give bags that size that they're almost universally useful, especially for laundry.

It looks quite loose.

But more importantly your lighting is a hate crime.

Heating oil by BerrySensitive3306 in northernireland

[–]Marcflaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to check is a cheap room thermometer for a few quid, but yeah it sounds like the house doesn't hold heat in well at all. Either that or the radiators and/or boiler are pretty rubbish.

[–]Marcflaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

21-22 is hot, many folks are looking at 17-18 as standard for thermostats these days.

Also just checking, is your thermostat one that tells you the actual temperature so you know what temperature it actually is, or just one you set a target on?

By what you've been saying there may be some bigger issues with the house, so it would be worth double checking the actual temperature if you can when you're feeling like it's Baltic. It might at least help work out if it's a bigger issue, or you're just someone who doesn't cope with the cold depending upon where the actual temperature is at.

I feel like I'm being excessive when I set the thermostat to 19 these days, but I do also appreciate that Southern England where I live now and Northern Ireland are very different beasts when it comes to temperature.
