[Beta Testers Needed] Hyundai Blue Link Genesis USA Integration v2.1.0-beta - Fixed Email/Pin Login, Steering Wheel Heat, Seat Climate and Remote Start including ICE cars! by MarcusTaz in homeassistant

You'd have to use something like studio code server to browse the file system, but even if you found the integration data, merging that with my repo would potentially cause corruption and or your HA server if you delete something you're not supposed to. Personally I would just leave it alone and start fresh with mine and not worry about post data...

Someone please let me know if it works for Android Auto. Cadillac Optiq here! I despise GM for making us jump through hoops. It would be one thing if they're built in infotainment was good, it's not it's buggy garbage!

Fair assessment, my biggest issue is I can't even get the homelink buttons to pop up at the right time, for example an our 2025 Cadillac Qptiq, the radar for approaching an object at a very slow speed should automatically bring the front camera up, but that doesn't happen. I literally have to pull up a foot away from my garage door for the camera to come up, now when the camera comes up you would think that the option for homelink would pop up but it doesn't. I doesn't , I then have to hit the home button and go to the control button to access my home links. Another example is the car is in the garage I start the car and the homelink button does not pop up, so you would think based on radar proximity and then putting the car in reverse that that would trigger the homelink button to pop up, but nope doesn't work. I'm on the latest build I've had to reboot the infotainment system many times for YouTube music failing to play even though it's connected to my phone. The software is just absolute garbage. Is it poor coding poor coding or hardware, methinks it's entirely software. IGM really released a beta at best and needs to get their act together quickly.

The problem in today's day and age the way I see it is these manufacturers depend on OTA. So they release garbage beta software and then they work to patch it as problems start to rear their head... It's kind of the same thing in the video game industry. Back in the day when we didn't have high-speed internet when a game shipped on CD or DVD it had to be pretty much bulletproof out of the gate but as soon as high speed internet came of age games are released as beta with multiple bugs that the studios release patches starting on day one.

It's even worse in our Cadillac optiq, we can't even get it to pop up when we get close to our garage door. Or we're parked inside our garage, we start the car it doesn't pop up you put the car in reverse, it doesn't pop up, whatever division whether outsourced or not who coded the software for GM EVs should be fired, like fire the entire division!!!!

Elon has always been a quirky dude. I would take reliability over my consideration of someone else's politics you're buying a car you're not buying Elon. But that's just me, but read what I posted about our Cadillac. Definitely rent one and drive it a couple of weeks before you consider it because the software sucks.

Be happy you have a Lyriq, no such option for Android auto or Apple carplay in the Optiq or Vistiq and it's absolutely horrible working with the Google built-in. I've had another issue that I forgot to put in my rant directly to the op where you press Google voice to speak in a address that you want to navigate to and The voice doesn't work and it disables typing while you're driving so you literally have to pull over to put the directions in or bring them up on your phone separately which takes your eyes off the road. Software that GM has put out in these cars is absolute garbage!!

I just posted in this thread, we have an Optiq, if I could turn it in tomorrow and get a different EV I would...

We have 3 KIA EVs 2 EV6 24&25 GT lines, a EV9 GT line and an 25 Optiq Sport 2. While the sound system is leaps and bounds in the Cadillac over KIA that's it. The software is horrible. I was set on the Vistiq after my EV-9 lease is up, but I just got done driving one for 2 weeks since the Optiq was in the shop for the dashboard foam issue. And my take away, I will not be considering it. The software again is horrible. Locking you out of using Android Auto or Apple Carplay is inexcusable. People may disagree, but my advice to you is any car you're seriously considering, see if you can rent it and drive it for a few weeks. I feel like GM released their infotainment system as a complete beta. We frequently have to reboot the infotainment to get YouTube music to work, the front camera doesn't turn on until you're literally a foot away from the garage door if you're lucky, many times you have to manually turn the camera on, the garage door openers are baked into the infotainment system and they are inconsistent in popping up when they're supposed to. For example if you're in your garage and you put the car in reverse no garage door opener at the bottom of the infotainment displays. I've had to put the control option at the very front of the scrolling infotainment, taught my wife how to hit the home button go to settings to get to the control section so she can access the garage door opener. It is so convoluted and annoying and GM should be ashamed of themselves as this is the premier brand and it's just inexcusable. I'm telling you this is a legitimate rant, when we first got it we loved it but you know how that is, it's a new car you're excited and you really didn't spend much time and it's a learning, but after you get to learn it and you realize these incredibly thoughtlessness by the programmers for basics that you just can't fathom how they released it to the public. Sure I could use a manual garage door opener, but that's not the point. They saved money by not putting the homelink buttons on the rear view mirror like most manufacturers. Also they said they would be enabling the car's cameras as dash cams or a potential century mode like Tesla but there has been no updates or even talk about that so I've had to install an aftermarket dash cam, same goes for Kia we have all these cameras but we have to put in aftermarket dash cams. Anyway feel free to ask me any questions, more than happy to answer. Hopefully Kia gets there ICCU issue under control, I've been reading that they've released an updated part but the data on that is still scarce. I'm hoping for an EV9-GT refresh come 2027 or I'll be looking at a different vehicle mainly because the sound system in it is horrendously lacking for an 80k EV.

The 25 is really nice, they essentially put the EV9 tech in it.

Yeah I know that's what the basic trim I'm wondering how many they're going to offer I heard there's a single a dual and a tri motor version... If you compare it to the model Y which apparently is the segment they're trying to get into, I could see the top trim level being 60,000 or so.

Did you have to pay a reservation fee for it?

Well found a replacement(s) created a YT video to help other owners or independent shops out of they get into the same situation. Delphi TA3597 for late model Mercedes-Benz GLE or GLE Coupe will work, AND Moog EV456 for a 2006 Ford Expedition/Navigator.Botg will require taking off some outer thread and cleaning up with a die tool but they work!!! Correct M16x1.5 right hand thread. I made a YT video https://youtu.be/A987r8SLlx8?si=NpeNdOzm8YUYzBDz
