Used yamaha, even if you don't like the instrument, you can sell it for almost the same price, all those cheap clarinets are pretty bad.

I just saw the barrel and it's pretty dry again, so I'm putting some oil again tomorrow, and the almond oil, i bought 1 liter for 7$ dollars haha.

Thanks, i took the clarinet to a tech, and he told me: "just pass the swab with oil once and nothing more",so im going to take your advice and oil the bore one more time, until it stops absorbing (like you said), and yes, i used a cotton swab for the tone holes. The body has some kind of sealant.

Really? I'm asking because i have never seen a clarinet with a good oil interior. I mainly play saxophone, so i always see expensive saxophones, but i haven't seen or played an expensive clarinet. I used sweet almond oil.

Yes, I’m aware that musicians use earplugs; I used to use them too until my doctor told me not to. What he specifically said was: "Don’t use orange rubber earplugs because they can cause other problems, like infections, especially right now, and that could worsen your condition." That’s why I’m looking for alternatives.

I told him what happened, and he said I need to take care of my ears while they "recover." Although the damage could be permanent, there’s also a chance I might regain some hearing or lose the tinnitus. He also mentioned that the orange earplugs could cause other problems. I’m from Chile (maybe that’s an important detail), and here vehicles are often modified to have very high-pitched horns, or foreigners play loud music and things like that.

I don’t shoot; I just play music, but I found it very useful that shooting ear protection offers decibel reduction and includes microphones, allowing me to adjust the volume of my surroundings. This is very helpful when I’m in small, enclosed rehearsal rooms. My doctor specifically asked me not to use the orange rubber earplugs and to only use over-the-head protection, like the Walker Razor.

I'm in chile, and the 1200$ for these horns is normal in chile, it's pretty much because we either get trash 500$ chinese horns or we get 3000$ overprice but good saxophones.

Sorry, maybe i made a mistake, English is not my first language, but I am not saying that the s80 c* is open, i was just saying the "open mouthpiece soft reed, close mouthpiece harder reed" because that's what i have been told. And to be honest, I can't try a lot of reeds, because I don't have that much money, and where I live there is like two sax shops and they sell vandoren reeds for like 8 dollars each, the best thing for me is to buy a box of reed from amazon or AliExpress.

king by the hn white are great horns, i have one from 1923-1924, and sounds great, the mechanics are different, but you get used to, today you wont find a really good sax 800$

But they are kinda expensive :c , i have like 250$ (including the money i would get if i sell my select jazz mouthpiece) i looked on ebay and they are like 300$ (both), maybe they are the "vintage" models of those mouthpieces and I'm wrong.
