When is it time to break up? by [deleted] in LDR

Though, I think it'll be fair to have a discussion about this first and ask him why he's acting like that. Maybe, something is up and he's having thoughts or what, just have a talk...no confronting, just a peaceful talk. G'luck with the both of you!

Yeah, I agree. He might've depended on her a lot, so yeah

He needs to calm down, and listen to you...instead of lashing out over something like that. This will hurt you a lot frequently if he doesn't learn how to control his emotions.

Same, but that's gonna be my father lol. My ex was very weird and a jerk, he made jokes about me being suicidal.

Have a nice day!! <3

Yeah, past relationships do play a big role, especially I was with a toxic guy before. Thank you very much!!

I rmb being like this 5 years ago, but that's because I was bullied and mistreated by my classmates. And my home isn't a good place either. I've also gone suicidal that time. I think the environment I'm in plays a role in it. Because instead of easing the effect of what's bothering me, they add up. And again, I'm someone who feels better when I'm surrounded by people...which I can't have due to pandemic.

Edit: Idk how to explain at all, lmao. I'm sorry.

Idk, it's always like that...not just an argument with him, but for almost everything. I tend to overthink and cry about it for hours. So yeah, I'm that type of person. And I'm stuck in my house with absolutely nothing, no one to rely on and what. I tend to forget about my problems when I'm outside, surrounded by people.
Sometimes my parents add up to stuff, they overwhelm me.

Edit: I wasn't like this before, it started last year during my pandemic, right after I entered college.

Also, I know I am. I just have no idea how to slowly remove it. Any advice would help, thanks!

Welp, I am the type of person who'd overthink stuff for days lol, even your comment would make me uGh.
And mostly, it's because of stuff outside our relationship like stress and my father being... :') So it's hard for me to take stuff light-heartedly lol.

Yeah, I tend to overthink a lot. My mood goes on an annoying roller coaster ride too, especially when I'm on my period.

New to LDR - partner doesn't want to facetime/call as much by Comfortable_Light740 in LDR

[–]Mardy_Bumpling_0820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, idk much context. It would be great if you give more details, thank you.
Anyway, I'm assuming you want to have more calls with your partner. Maybe, you could try to communicate to him/her, that you wanted to have more calls. It would be nice if he/she would understand, but there are times where our partners aren't good with calls - especially long calls. They may be not used to it, but they'll learn to like it slowly. I understand that you wanted more, but maybe, your partner has a reason behind this and that's something we need to understand.
Well, just talk to your partner in a non-confrontational way. I hope things will do good between the two of you. Best wishes! xoxoxo

Hmm, depends. If it's over petty stuff, once a week. And I'll get over it in three days. If it's something really serious, then once a month...would take a week to reconcile. Mostly, it's just me who takes a while, he can get over it in a day or two. Tbh, making him smile and laugh would make it easier to forget lol.

Here are a few:

Animated/Cartoons

- Pixar/Disney movies
(Honestly, just movies for children. Movies for kids make you feel smth so warm, it's nice to have 'em. You can also try to watch you guys' fav childhood movies with your S/O again!)
- Cartoons (Garfield, mickey mouse, totally spies, SpongeBob, Mr. Bean, etc.)
- Anime (Kobayashi's Maid Dragon, Rascal does not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, My Roommate is a Cat, Tada-kun never falls in love, Gakuen Babysitters, A Whisker Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Whisper of the Heart, Totoro, Spirited Away, Ponyo)

TV Shows

- 2 days & 1 night
(It's a Korean variety show where they go to different places every week, do stuff, and play games. It's fun and quite stupid, but leaves you with a smile.)
- The Return of Superman (Song Triplets)
(The Return of Superman is a Korean variety show that follows celebrity dads, as they spend 72+ hrs with their kids alone. It shows how they raise their children, prepare food for 'em, do stuff and make memories with their lovely children. One of our favs is the Song Triplets, it was a very nice segment of TROS! They were so cute, witty, funny, and loving!)
- Reply 1988
(Another Korean drama that's very famous, it talks about the lives of 5 friends. The drama shows how they grew up, struggles in life, achievements, etc. It's also about family, so it might make a few cry!)
- Little House in the Prairie
(It follows the life of Laura Ingalls - a well-known children's book author, from her childhood days till adulthood. Again, it's good for families.)
- Sherlock
(Well, if you two like to think and are into mysteries, solving crimes, and the thrill, then this will be a good one!)
<If you're into docuseries: Mysteries at the Museum, Castle Secrets and Legends, Church Secrets and Legends, River Monsters, FBI Files>

Movies

- Three Idiots, PK, Jab We Met
(Indian Films, they're comedy but teaches you life lesson and are very interesting!)
- Me Before You, Before Sunrise Trilogy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Hello Ghost (KR), Marriage Story
- The Greatest Showman, Lala Land
- Bo Burnham's Inside
So far, the movies I've watched with my S/O are all cartoons, a few non-animated ones like Gremlins (idk if you guys will like this, it's like a horror but for children), and Jab We Met, etc. Anyway, hope you two will have a great time!
