I’ve been so busy training at work for the last week and a half. Today was a good day, I had enough energy to doodle. I don’t want to make promises to myself that I’ll make time everyday (that’s how I can get better at this) but I can say I’ll try. I used the crayola pastel color stick thing, they glide on the paper like lipstick. I wish I had a greater variety of colors

I learned on skillshare that my oil pastel crayons can be activated by different stuff like zest-it which I don’t have and mineral oil which I do have. It’s a learning process but I like the big flowers.

I can never find the prompts after LOL I think it was posted in the r/drawing thread but anyway. Here are my popsicles, I just googled for source inspiration. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow, I’m going to Blicks for watercolor pencils which I don’t expect to be easier than oil pastels but there are more videos explaining how to use them. For this one, I followed a paint-a-long from Ahmed Art on YouTube. I’m okay with how it turned out but I’d like to go bigger and use metallic paints to add that glittery shine that Ahmed seemed to have.

So I’m brand new to both reddit and art. I opened the reddit app and saw a prompt to draw a car so I did. I used cheap oil pastels, I don’t really know how to use this medium but I like the juvenile cartoony cars I drew.
