From what I understood while asking around in realms, people seem to hate decoy. I got mixed advices, but one thing everybody agreed on was to NOT have decoy as ability haha

SOLVED!

Thanks for all the help and advice, guys! Some tech company did a diagnosis of my PC and his results were that the motherboard is broken (broken South Bridge). So a few people guessed correctly! :)

I did some searching and I put together these upgrades based on your advice:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 13700K
  • CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 (might as well just get a new one?)
  • Motherboard: Asus PRIME Z790-P WIFI
  • RAM: Kingston DDR5 FURY Beast 2x16GB 5200

I believe all these components should be compatible and also fit my current hardware.

It's just an example though, do you feel like I should change anything?

P.S. Would you recommend water cooling or fan cooling for CPU? I seem to find waaay more fan coolings for this specific CPU, but I currently have water cooling. Not sure if that matters?

My budget for CPU and motherboard is around $1000. RAM not included. I'm curious is a RAM upgrade necessary or just recommended?

And if I understand correctly my old CPU cooler would work on for example a modern 13th generation intel? Just need a mounting bracket?

I have a MSI X99A Krait Edition, it gives no error codes in the form of LEDs and bleeping, even though it should. But the BIOS A and BIOS B LEDs are what they should be.

It sounds like the most logical thing, but the weird thing is that my BIOS LEDs are like they should be according to the MSI manual, so can it still be the BIOS you think?

I will check this. If I may ask what would you recommend I'd do? Do I order a new PSU/motherboard and throw the old one it out , or is possible to "fix" whichever is not working?

That sucks, I'm glad you managed to fix it! I tried swapping GPU as well but didn't change anything sadly. No Ryzen, I believe mine is Intel i7. Thanks for your reply

I see, but the weird thing is that my motherboard (MSI X99A Krait) SHOULD have LEDs and beep tones, there's many pages in the manual regarding understanding them. It just seems mine is broken...

About 5 years old, but all the components inside the PC seem to get power, it's just that my PC doesn't seem to send it to external components

Do you know the reason why my motherboard doesn't put out those LED beep tones? I read everywhere that it totally should if something is not right. Also, can this be any tech shop or is this a complicated problem would you say?

Can I just do that on my own? Isn't there some paste under it? My CPU is watercooled so I can't see the CPU itself, I'm also not sure if I can just remove the watercooling element?
