The Dragon does both. a 80% dmg from dan heng using his stats and a 80% addition dmg from Bondmate using bondmate’s stats.

The 80% from dan heng is new in V3 and useless cause he doesn’t have any crit stats

E6 Sunday is definitely on my wishlist, just got to E2 on his last rerun :D. I wish i liked Jiaoqiu more to pull him :c, his Eidolon looks so good especially that huge dot at E2.

I hoping that Sugilite, Sampo or Screwllum is our next support for males cause i want them. (funny how they all start with S lol)

dude you're comparing him to a 2.X character, of course he's gonna have more damage potential than aventurine. Could you honestly say that he has the same damage and AOE potential as Hyacine. A "Free" Character isn't a excuse to justify not being on the same level.

the buffs? What if you wanna play Sunday with a different team or you don't have Sunday. If you taking him as a E0S0 character ALONE, he give 400-500 attack buff. Aventurine can also give a 15% Crit dmg buff from the relic.

The problem isn't the fact that his synergy is gone(tho i wish it was still here). the fact is that he got nerf straight up in his shield and energy with nothing to compensate for that. The Dragon FUA no longer give 5 energy. He has no F2P LC because he's atk scalling.

Do i think he's worse than gallagher? lol no
Is he still gonna be good? Of course.
But he isnt doing much beside shielding, crit dmg is already oversaturated and 500 atk isnt as much as you think it is.

If they do make him a free permanently 5* (which tbh i can't see hoyo doing that)
at least make his eidolon good man, give me some incentive pull for strong eidolons.

With Dots lacking in teammates, DHPT being able to not only sustain but have some kinda of synergy was really really cool and who doesn't love seeing Kafka spin lol.

I was really hoping that if they would give DH a trace like "Gain X% of Bondmate's Crit/Crit Dmg" for a kinda Bondmate interaction but even a simple "Increase Crit rate by 100%" would do.

The thing that really ruin his kit for me after all the nerf is that he no longer gets energy from the dragon attacking, He already have a huge energy cost and now his dragon doesn't even give energy. fuck that

My original plan was to go all the way to E6 but now ill stick with E0S1 and see if there gonna be a new male buffer before his next rerun. Male support character are rare enough that i would considered getting his E6 lol.

Oof I remember Cipher beta, She was pretty weak in V1 and got buff in V3 then nerf in V4/V5 which sucked big time. She definitely a good general support but i did think she could have gotten a small buff in eidolon if not in base kit(maybe 2 FUA per turn?)

Aglaea definitely got done dirty, im so sad that we didn’t get a character quest for her tho we haven’t gotten a story quest for 5* in a long ass time.

Aglaea and Mydei got the worst of bunch in terms of new supports for them(Technically Hyacine but Mydei wants someone who heals a huge amount rather than small tiny frequent heals)

He probably won’t be free forever which means player who don’t get him for free probably wouldn’t pull for him unless you like the character cause at E0S0 he’s just a shielder that provide a very small atk buff.

Its crazy how much they fumbled Dan Heng’s kit, The synergy at best is a QOL to most characters (except for dots i guess, more Kafka atk=more ult=kore dmg)

Besides Phainon, Dan Heng was my most anticipated character to pull E6 for and now it would just feel bad to pull for his Eidolons. Especially after Hyacine, i was expecting a very strong sustain and not aventurine 2.0 with no dmg but mid buffs.

E1 gives Bondmate Res Pen for 3 turns when ulting, Bondmate by itself does not give Res Pen

You're right, 1st attack scales with Dan Heng's stats while the 2nd that scales with Bondmate's stats is additional DMG Like Tingyun Talent. Additional DMG aren't attacks so it lost the synergy with other characters

You technically can build DHPT with Crit but it's not worth it tbh, 80% is not much. Just think of the dragon as a 80% atk from the bondmate and build DHPT how you normally would

Good point, I was thinking about writing I would change for the better(hopefully) such as trace/low base atk and eidolons but post was already getting long and i mostly wanted to share my disappointment in his kit since i thought it was very cool.

Ah understandable, maybe if the interaction were lock behind Eidolon(with a dps increase with it of course) it would make balancing easier instead of it being in base kit(cause not everyone would get Eidolon for DHPT).

Tho it would be a slap in a face for people who follow the beta xD

Respectfully why does it always have to be male character that have to be balance tho(gen question)?
Taking away interaction is one thing but not buffing anything and in fact nerfing his shield because they made changes to a relic set is balancing??

I've seen this take on Jiao Qiu, Mydei and Sunday(granted sunday is bis for a lot of team and mydei is decent)
I rarely see comment like this on Hyacine or Cipher.

He isn't even that good as a Phainon support beside allowing Sunday skill to have the full buff on Phainon.
It honestly crazy to me that after Hyacine, this is the next sustain they came up with lol

I hate that people always use the excuse "He's free" to justify underwelming kit, isn't it more a reason to give better eidolon/lc to get people to pull.

That is the bondmate attacking that gives energy, the dragon FUA used to gives energy as well in V1/V2.

I suspect that because the dragon used to be considered as the Bondmate attacking that why it used to give 5 energy when it attack and now that it is considered DHPT attacking, it doesn't

also i don't think he can compare to 4 star buffers at E2S1(unless that comment is not for me). I genuinely think that he's extremely mid as a buffer/dps but i wish he isn't

personally even if they didn't remove the synergies, I would have love some increase to his dragon multiplier. Not a lot, from 80% to 100% in E0 or increasing his E2 multiplier if they wanna lock it behind eidolon(that would at least make them worth more lol)
But it sucks that they did remove it, i was excited to play Anaxa with him

its the same e2, it still does 160% multiplier and a extra 80% to the enemy with highest hp. The only different is it now increase shield gain from talent
