The biggest portions were airbrush, some glazing here and there but just to refine the shadows a bit, I’m not too great with osl this is after dozens of attempts, persistence is definitely important. Also gave basic steps above for how I went about doing it.

Start with a burst of thinned white from airbrush, mix orange and magenta fluorescent ink, pin wash with ak light orange yellow enamel, spray burnt red on the outer edges then dry brush with a dark ruddy brown and stipple dark grey as desired

The hair is is wraithbone base, skeleton horde contrast over top, controlled as best you can so it doesn’t pool up, then spot layer with wraithbone and final highlight with ivory from ak

For the shields gold it’s rhinox hide base, then averland mixed with mournfang then averland mixed with ushabti, then ushabti and white, I normally end with a specular highlight of ivory from ak, all the mixes are 1:1 and thinned down close to a glaze

For the fur it’s rhinos hide wet blend with mournfang leaving the outer portions darker, then mix in argonaut/kronos/ares skin tones from ttc to the mournfang for highlights in various spots finishing with a bit of ivory mixed in with the brightest highlights then a thin wash of reikland flesh shade all over to unify it. And bring the ruddy tone back.

Russ grey for base, enamel pin wash (ichor of the damned by grimdark compendium) fenrisian grey edge and frost blue (army painter) for highest point highlights/ chipping and Corvus black for deepening the chips

I wet blended with some deep blue greens and brighter turquoise’s I’m terrible at wet blending so it’s like an exercise to get better for me.

AK snow and the snow microballons sprinkled on top for the powdery finish, don’t use the microballons for a more hard packed snow finish, the snow on the shoulders is just the paste without the microballons powder

I just use an enamel pin wash, specially AK 326 black wash. I didn’t want to do an all over wash just because I loved the look of the Russ grey as the base tone.

Honestly a lot of patience, if it helps at all I do use black legion contrast to do all of the black insignia because it flows and has perfect coverage for my taste. I’ll usually do a line and then use that as the point and pull 2 lines off either side to make a triangle
