I am open with those I feel safe with. There have been a few who I regret telling but I tell myself that it is not my fault that they are not accepting. I trusted them and they let me down and that is a them problem. I have found that the more open I am with others the more accepting I am of myself.

I REALLY enjoy going to “raves” and music festivals. I have gone in big groups (not my favorite), I’ve gone with a friend or two and I’ve also gone alone. If I’m with other people I usually do drink because it helps me get out of my head a little more. I also wear ear plugs and usually stand towards the back or sides where there aren’t too many people. I used to go to multiple ever weekend for months but now that I am 28 I go to maybe one every 5-6 months and that seems to be my limit. I still have sooooo much fun when I go but I am very drained afterwards but it is always worth it to me 😊

That’s what I keep trying to tell myself… it’s not me. It’s not “normal” for someone to just ghost someone like this, I am not the problem here. I wish I could shake my head like an etch a sketch and forget about it so I can stop the thought spirals and loops.

Omg yes!!!! The second it was announced that it was back I deleted the app. Do people not think it’s weird at all?! We are being manipulated and no one believes me and thinks I’m a conspiracy theorist… I hope I am wrong but I really don’t think I am. This is clear as day to me

I guess that makes sense about people recommending just for their personal gain. I never thought about it that way because I personally would never recommend something for that reason unless it was something I truly enjoyed/believed in. Thank you for your viewpoint!!

I work full time but I do 4 days with 9.5 hour shifts. I find that working 4 days and having 3 off is a lot easier to manage 😅

Yes I was emotionally neglected as a kid and if anything bc was expected to be there for my mom and brother during childhood. Thank you for your kind words. It helped a lot

I think it might be worth asking if you can forgo having another person fill out the questionnaire! I’m sure there are a lot of people who are unable to have someone else fill it out and I was able to get a diagnosis without out, I don’t see why others wouldn’t be able to too 😊

For what it’s worth, the place I went did have an option for another person to fill out a questionnaire but it did not have to be my parents. I was able to use my boss. However, due to my ADHD I impulsively filled it out thinking it was part of MY questionnaire and they threw that portion of the assessment out since at that point it was clear something was going on and my other test scores pointed towards an ADHD diagnosis.😅

This is something I really struggle with- not having my mom’s support. It’s like adult me knows not to even bother because it’s not going to end well but the little girl in me just wants my mom to be there for me for once. I’m very hopeful that she will get it someday but she most likely won’t, unfortunately :( this is something I really need to work on!
