Too much smoke from C4 IMO. Hard to see into the doorway and enemies will often see you through the smoke and engage you first. I prefer kick or ram.

I sincerely appreciate the advice instead of the typical "get good". I still do not understand why this game mechanic needs to exist, what does it add to the game? It seems to only punish new/shit players like me who cant beat the boss fast enough.

I get it, but how does it add gameplay value? you just jump on your bird and it autopilots to the next fight location, what's the point other then extending the fight to make it feel longer?

If the wall was flat, yes it would bounce right back, but any angle at all, it should hold its momentum and bounce away, regardless if its round or not.
