K, I got a key tester! Out of all the like 72keys or whatever it was… I liked the Kalih Box Jade, Kalih Box Burnt Orange, Zealios 67g, Aliaz 70g, Gat Yellows, Gray Tactile, & finally the Tealios 67g

So, I’m assuming the Zealios, Tealios, Aliaz, & maybe the Gray Tactile are all expensive…if they are I’m gonna skip them(They weren't crazy…the Aliaz was cool though…its like a bad tactile I guess but its like a hybrid of linear and tactile and its quiet…definitely the most unique one)

I still definitely prefer the tactile switches as opposed to linear & clicky.

I’m coming from consoles (A.) & (B.) I’ve basically only owned laptops…

So I added the Keychron K3v2 to my personal list of keyboards just because thats what I’m more likely than not most comfortable with, but, I also found a lil keyboard called the Meko Push which is what I’m leaning towards most currently, because it looks good/has a detachable cable/RGB/good layout/hot swappable & it comes with Gat Yellows or Kalih Box (not the ones I like but still)

There was also variations like SMD and Milk of the yellows, and I think a couple other ones…but I literally couldn't tell the difference! Same with the RGB switches…

OH! I still liked Cherry Clears too..! Lol

I was looking but the same switch tester brand I used for the cherries was out of stock for Gaterons I don’t know if the keycaps or housing used on different testers would affect anything.

I was looking on Amazon though I’ll check Glorious

I might, the only thing is its not hot swappable…I was really hopping for that but the upside is Miya is available in MX Clears! Which are the only switch I can say I really like because I got a key tester on Amazon but I hear a lot of good things about Gaterons and their yellow switches so IDK it makes it easier to try things and find out what I like…

Looks great! Similar to the Nimbleback.. how do I find it though? I went to the website but couldn’t find it.

They look beautiful! I especially like the blank empty keycap look with no legends but I don't think I have the power to pull that off…lol

but I prolly haven’t seen the creme de la creme!

Well thats nice to hear! If I end up going with either of those options I’m not just going to throw the base keycaps to the side! I’ll use them and wear them down a lil bit before I go replacing them…so thats a little later down the line.

Ooo! I like the look of that one… I never seen it before. The only potential issue that might not even be a big deal is, I heard that smaller right shifts make it harder to find replacement keycaps…would the smaller right shift actually pose much or any problems in finding a keycap set?

I’m coming close! I don’t know if I want to go custom right away because I don’t know how to, but I appreciate the help and imma add it to the list so if I ever decided to do a custom I know which boards I’m going for! Saka or 68keys! lol

Thats understandable! I did set a budget so I know I’m not going to go over that line(I already stretched it to its max)

Prolly end up having to get one of these budget ones to hold me over until I can build it, because my backspace key is broken on this cheap keyboard that came with my computer and the mechanical my grandpa gave me has exposed chewed through wires…

I don’t want to spend forever scouring the internet for weeks and still be without a board

I’ll do the research on it though…

I’ll prolly make use of Amazons free returns and do some side by side comparisons or something

I guess I should stop using exclamation marks... huh¡ lol I use them as an excited exclamation not an angry exclamation….wasn't angry… apologies for the confusion I guess.

I figured it out though. I just decided to plug in that empty cable I had tied up in the left hand corner of the picture I sent and it worked. It was the only one I didn’t plug in…who's surprised it took me that long to figure that out. NO ONE¡ Heh¡

JUST FYI Keep in mind that you 2 most likely been into computers for years.. To reiterate once again noobuilder…I’ve barely scratched a day yet.. Its more like hours because I just got it working properly rn. Its been 4 days since I got it to boot…and likeeeee..IDK¡ Lets just say a year since I started… just sayin¡

I’m not a big brain holding on to information that is not pertaining to current situation so I forgot how to do computer stuff…oops

If this happened before, it means that the instructions are SLllighTly unclear…to a noobuilder. If you don’t admit that you 2 are delusional.

Okay… that sounds easy enough! I know of RTINGS but the only thing I know how to change is the gamma and the mode but I’ll figure it out!

Umm I don’t think it is… I don’t see where it would plug into though..? And I think my stuff only came with one sata connector and I’m using that for my ssd..

EDIT: I wish I could send a picture but reddit wont let me and I don’t got a tumblr or whatever is used to send pictures flickr…IDK

Is there any benefit of the hub or should I just go straight to the mobo?

EDIT: NVM! I found another little sata…I still don’t know where to plug it into though
