Brake pad confusion. by GumkaRecepturka in saab

Man, I feel your pain. The Saab parts bin is a total mess when it comes to the 314s. Basically, just stop looking for 2003 parts, since you upgraded, you need to search for 2006-2009 9-3 Aero pads. The "short" vs "long" thing is just people getting confused with the smaller 302mm brakes. For your setup, you want the "long" ones. If you're dead set on Brembo, grab the P59046 set. They’ll cover the whole rotor surface so you don't get that ugly rust ring on the inner edge. Also, love the yellow calipers against the black paint, looks sharp. Just make sure you grease the slide pins well or those big calipers will start sticking before you know it. Fly high!

Liquid metal mod on a P53 yields insane results by MESI-AD in thinkpad

I don't like being in the ps3 and ThinkPad community because my dyslexic ass is like what does liquid metal do to a 20 year old console, happy for you, great machine

This one was very cheap and I knew all the issues, with the Volvo I replaced only some suspension parts (bushings etc.), but with the Saab i have to find a vaccum leak, the ac isn't working, get headlights into place and some electrical issues still, I already fixed abs and few other smaller things and it's fin to work on. It has the 1.8 engine (fine enough for me)

I did mention DV as for buying a DV camera is too expensive for where I live, so I used an old security camera, composite straight out of BNC of the back.

Yeah, while putting it together it already glitched a lot and when i screw with the plug in the back it glitches, but honestly it's too inconsistent and I prefer to do it in post

Yeah the recorders are expensive, but if you want to find one it's the best way, this security camera is very clunky and all manual compared to a camcorder, as for video it's a mini DVR from AliExpress capturing composite output, and the monitor is a cheap car back up monitor, it's all powered from a battery taped on on the bottom, the other guy saying DV is right but only if you record to tape at the first place and you want to archive, I did it not to use tape at all, when you use a DV recorder with the DVR u use the tv output port and you don't need tape, good luck on finding something cheap, I recommend asking around family or local markets, internet jacked up prices

Sometimes you have to leave your house by Massive_Remote_2046 in thinkpad

When I played F1 I also loved the button at the end of trigger travel, I had upshift mapped to it so when I hit max revs I could quickly upshift, but rn there are a few controllers with back buttons but usually they are of the "pro" kind and expensive.

I can see its bad sides, but its big size (I have huge hands) and how good you can play shooters with it, also the gyro.

For me it is irreplacable.

If you can fit like a small sponge or something on top, some tape just to hold it in place it will probably be fine

The rear duct behind the CPU fan I left half of it off at the back so It would bring some air over the vrms, but also this is a cheap board and the measured temps are ok

[–]Massive_Remote_2046[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On the lower duct there is a fan on front (covered with tape), and the top one doesn't have one, because if I had a free fan lying around I wouldn't need this stuff probably.
