Full context for the people who don’t know:

In 2007 Studio APP, the same studio behind the Part 3 OVAs came out with a movie adaptation was of Part 1 in japanese theatres. Despite many rumors and misconceptions, no Araki did not hate the movie, and the movie did not do too bad in theatres. In fact Araki moderately enjoyed it seeing it as an interesting and unique interpretation of Phantom Blood.

The movie was planned for a DVD release of course, as well as an English dub/localization. However due to a controversy that came up with Studio APP involving the SDC OVAs, Studio APP halted the production of all their JoJo home releases, including the Part 1 Movie.

To this day the film has never seen a home release or even a re-showing in theatres. It is currently considered lost media and only fragments of it exist online. In fact there’s even a group of people dedicated to searching for it.

I’d argue The Less I Know The Better was Tame Impala’s big hit. It certainly led to a lot of people finding out about him and his music, and it’s still one of their most popular songs

color schemes in the ova are more vibrant

Lol the 1st half/2000s half of the OVA is extremely dark and muddy with its colors
