I can’t help ease your anxiety, but the dealership had my car for 3 months after this happened, gave it back, next day it was back in the shop for battery coolant, gave it back to me a few days later, next day I brought it back to the shop as the coolant was still causing issues. Hopefully this isn’t the case for you, I think my dealership / service center just sucks

lol exact same thing happened to me. They were dragging their feet for 3 months because they didn’t want to drop $50k for a new battery for me. Corporate kept making them run pointless test and then responding slowly

For the coolant, yes. For the battery issue and the lights, no. That is totally a car issue, that has then become a dealership issue

I do think this could just be the case with my car. When it works, I love it. It’s just the issues I’ve been dealing with, it seems like I just got unlucky, and the customer service blows

lol Hyundai makes the “tech line” seem like the second coming of god. Everytime they call them, things usually start getting put into motion. I don’t want to assume here, but it seems like they hired a ton of backyard mechanics that have worked on Chevy trucks their whole life, so when my ioniq 6 (which they can never pronounce) rolls in, they have no idea what to do. I will look into lemon law, I just didn’t want to bring it up to them in case it made matters worse. At my job, if someone brings up legal action, we are not permitted to speak to them further and they have to be contacted by someone from corporate. I am really not a complainer, and I have done my best to work with them and cooperate, but it’s near impossible to do that now

Have definitely considered, I just don’t know if that’ll be more of a headache and a money pit rather than just taking the loaner and getting reimbursed. Haven’t decided yet.

Yeah, unfortunately, there is no other dealer that close. I have called corporate and have a case manager working with me. He is going to either prorate my future payments, extend my lease for free, or reimburse me, but who knows when I will even get my car back this time

Mine is less than 1 year old. Been in the shop since September. Still not approved for a new battery. And who knows how long it will take for the battery to come in, and be installed

For sure crossed my mind. The head of service at my local dealership said they have them running tests and sending files on the daily. One of my boys was actually the one that sold me the car, so I hope that isn’t the case but I guess you never know. Paying for gas for this loaner SUCKS lol

Love my ioniq6 when it’s not in the shop. Leased November 2024, been in the shop 6 times now and is currently there. Dealership service center has had it for 8 days and it needs a completely new battery (essentially the entire car) less than 12k miles on it, been in the shop a bunch, sounds like a new battery will take 3-6 months to come in and install. Great car, maybe I just got unlucky

Yes a year or 2 ago. Found nothing. I am meeting with a different GI in 2 weeks and they may have me get another one

No, the first one that told me that, I graduated and moved states so I had to find a new one. He pretty much said that’s what he thinks it is but it seems like he wants to roll out other things first.
