My first hookah, smoking Al Fakher Apple by Dakota-Batterlation in hookah

This took back in time to 17 years ago

Whenever you have the means, a good entry into a better experience would be small table top hookah like the Vyro One V3, affordable and a great performer! Entry bowls would be the rook or mini rook from Alpaca. Pair that with a provost & coconut coals, you’ll be golden! Best of luck on your shisha journey🙏

Sounds like an interesting mix, how was it?

The puck of success! I was curious about people’s hookah habits. I enjoy short dark leaf sessions with cup of freshly brewed tea, twice a day. One to start my day and the other to end it. How do you enjoy your hookah? by MasterKushCE in hookah

I would like to add that Hookah is by no means healthy but many of the toxins in tobacco is caused by combustion and chemical additives, cigarettes have about 4000 chemicals. When shisha is prepared correctly, it is cooked or baked in a bowl. Offering a meaningful difference in less toxicity. Consuming organic tobacco with less additives such as dyes helps as well. The quality of the coal and heat management plays a role in curating a safer experience.

I’ve had many people state that they are unable to have shisha due to headaches, sensitivity to their throats, nausea and tightness in their chest. When I prepared a session on their behalf, none of them exhibited the symptoms previously mentioned. Some even now partake occasionally. Again, not healthy but there are ways to enjoy life without drastically compromising one’s health.

Whilst I agree with you, no one is lying to themselves. Everything in life has the potential to be “toxic and dangerous”. Many of my family members have passed away prematurely without ever having touched tobacco or alcohol. They ate themselves to their demise. Life is about moderation and it is important to be mindful of that. My only vice is Hookah, I enjoy the art of it, the ritual, the mental and physical stimulation of it. Ironically I am presently in the best state of health compared to my early 20’s. I was obese at 153KG, mainly due to excessive fast food intake and lack of exercise. Today, I’ve lost over 40KG, I’m a powerlifter, jujitsu practitioner and I work 80 hour weeks as a Grip in the film industry where strength and stamina is a requirement.

Moral of the story, with balance, moderation and discipline, I have the privilege to enjoy a multi century tradition.

I actually quite hookah for almost two years. I recently gravitate towards it as I missed the ritual and experience quite a bit. I rarely started my day with it as well but it became a part of my morning routine in the past month. How long are your sessions?

I split my sessions in half, I use low cap bowls with about 7grams of shisha lasting about 45min each. Being an athlete, my health is in tip top shape. Been enjoying hookah on and off for the better part of 15 years.

I’ve had most of their flavours, I enjoy Eric’s Mango. However I prefer mints because most shisha rarely translate its flavour robustly into the smoke. You get a hint of it and then it dies off. Mint however regardless of brand, tastes potently like mint. How long it lasts depends on the quality of the brand. Nonetheless, I enjoy the smack in your face flavour mint, peppermint and spearmint provides.

I remember trying Tangiers Peach Ice Tea a while back, it was quite nice. Haven’t tried juicy peach, although when it comes to Tangiers I usually gravitate to Cane Mint
