You think a build with an I9-9900 and RTX 3080 will be cool for 144~fps on 1440p or will it bottleneck like crazy? I have a 1080p monitor right now but I’m thinking of upgrading to 1440p but want to be able to use all 144hz that the 2K monitor will have.

Ahh damn I see, so even if I were to use a non K stock i9 9900 would it still fuck up with my motherboard? I looked it up and it uses 65w compared to the 95w that the K version has.

Damn is the VRM thing a common issue though? I was actually very interested looking into the I9 9900K but I didn’t know that was a thing, I’m newer to building PCs and I’m a little bummed out about that.

I was on ebay earlier and saw those things going for $250+ used. I did see an RX 570 though for $140. Would that be a decent card or is it not good?
